Roman Anthony made his mark in Thursday’s series opener as he lifted the Boston Red Sox to a 6-3 win over the New York Yankees with three RBI, capped off by a two-run homer in the ninth inning.
The Red Sox outfielder continues to impress in his rookie season, batting .284 in August while recording at least one hit in 17 of his last 22 games.
Anthony has also notched Over 1.5 total bases in 14 of those outings – a prop I’m expecting him to smash this afternoon.
Anthony should find some success as a left-handed batter against right hander Will Warren. The Yankees starter is holding righties to a .210 average this season while lefties are faring much better, batting .270 with a .461 slugging percentage and .822 OPS.
