The New York Yankees will look to notch back-to-back wins for just the second time since the All-Star break as they host the Tampa Bay Rays.

Tampa Bay has lost five of its last six and enters tonight’s matchup as a +120 underdog on the moneyline.

My Rays vs. Yankees predictions explain why the pitching matchup sets up well for a high-scoring affair.

Rays vs Yankees prediction

My Rays vs Yankees best bet: Over 9 runs (-105 at bet365)

The New York Yankees currently lead the Wild Card playoff chase, but they haven’t been great since the All-Star game, with just four wins in 11 contests since. Their best player, Aaron Judge (elbow), is also on the shelf through the first week of August.

They did, however, manage to take a 7-5 decision on Tuesday, but they turn to Will Warren next.

The righty has had a rough July, posting a bloated 6.29 ERA, and four of his last five starts have had teams combining for at least 13 runs.

The Yankees have seen the Over cash in four of the last six, and Tampa Bay Rays starter Zack Littell might just be the opposing pitcher to help make it happen again. He’s coming off a rough outing in Cincinnati, tagged for 10 hits and five earned runs in a 7-2 loss.

These are two of the Top 10 scoring teams in baseball, and they’ve combined for 12 runs scored in two of the last three head-to-heads. Look for them to stay offensive in Game 3 of this four-game set.

Rays vs Yankees same-game parlay (SGP)

Over 8.5

Cody Bellinger 2+ total bases

Jonathan Aranda 2+ total bases

Cody Bellinger homered in the win Tuesday, giving him hits in eight of his last 10 games, grabbing at least two total bases in five of those contests.

I like him to finally break through with some offense against Littell, after opening his career 0-for-6 against the righty.

It’s been a hot series for Jonathan Aranda. The Tampa DH had two hits in Tuesday’s loss, giving him four hits in nine at-bats, including a homer, a double, and three runs scored.

He’s only faced Warren twice in his career, but his lone hit was a home run.
