Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Riley Greene 1+ home runs
The Athletics host the Detroit Tigers to kick off the late window of Tuesday’s MLB slate. Right-hander Osvaldo Bido takes the mound for the Athletics and should serve as a good fade candidate.
Through 19 appearances this season, Bido is 2-4 with a 5.37 ERA and 1.58 WHIP. His underlying metrics are equally poor, given that he ranks in the bottom quarter of the league in expected ERA (xERA), expected batting average (xBA), average exit velocity, and barrel rate.
Detroit’s Riley Greene is a strong candidate to take advantage of this matchup. In three plate appearances against Bido, Greene is 1-for-3 with a home run.

Prop #2: Nick Martinez under 3.5 strikeouts
Tuesday’s nightcap features the Los Angeles Dodgers hosting the Cincinnati Reds. Cincinnati hands the ball to right-hander Nick Martinez, who has struggled to replicate last season’s success.
Martinez enters this matchup with a 4.59 ERA and 1.20 WHIP, but his biggest weakness is his inability to generate swings and misses. He ranks in the 17th percentile or lower in chase rate, whiff rate, and strikeout rate.
That inability to generate swings-and-misses is unlikely to turn around against a Dodgers lineup that ranks in the top half of the league in strikeout rate.

Prop #3: Clayton Kershaw under 3.5 strikeouts
Sticking with the same game, the Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw is also a good fade candidate in the strikeout market. Kershaw’s success this season has come from limiting walks and inducing ground balls.
However, his ability to generate strikeouts appears to have declined. The 37-year-old ranks in the 23rd percentile in chase rate, 27th percentile in whiff rate and sixth percentile in strikeout rate.
As a result, Kershaw has recorded three or fewer strikeouts in eight of his past nine starts.
