MLB Player Props & Best Bets Today for May 26: Don't Doubt Soto Just Yet

Juan Soto is still driving in runs even if his overall numbers are worse than they were a year ago. Facing the White Sox, Soto will be in an excellent position to pick up another RBI tonight.

There’s a 12-game slate on tap for Memorial Day, and that leaves us with plenty of options for our MLB player props today.

I’m looking at stars on three of the best teams in the majors to perform today, from Juan Soto for the New York Mets to Freddie Freeman for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Find out who else I like to put up big numbers today in my free MLB picks for Monday, May 26.

Best MLB player props today

  • Mets Soto 1+ RBI (+116)
  • Dodgers Freeman o1.5 TB (+112)
  • Yankees Bellinger o1.5 H+R+RBI (-154)

MLB props for May 26

Juan Soto 1+ RBI (+116 at Caesars)

Much has been made of Juan Soto’s slow start with the New York Mets after a brilliant 2024 campaign in the Bronx. While he hasn’t been disastrously bad, his .777 OPS is the lowest total of his career.

Some of that has been pure bad luck. Soto has a .252 batting average on balls in play, 50 points below his career average. He’s hitting balls as hard as ever, but simply isn’t getting the results the Mets paid for.

But Soto has at least one RBI in three of his last four games. And while Chicago White Sox starter Adrian Houser was excellent in his first start of the year, he hasn’t finished a season with an ERA under 4.12 since 2021.

Soto has historically crushed right-handed pitching, putting up a .984 OPS. The Mets offense in general should have a good day against Houser, and with Soto in the middle of it, he’s a great pick to knock in at least one run today.

Freddie Freeman Over 1.5 total bases (+112 at Caesars)

The Shohei Ohtani show might get all the attention, but Freddie Freeman is not so quietly having another outstanding year for the Los Angeles Dodgers

Freeman currently leads the National League in both batting average (.357) and OPS (1.063). He’s already compiled 24 extra-base hits over his first 42 games and has 2+ total bases in 21 of those contests.

Freeman has always been an absolute monster against right-handed pitching, and that has continued in 2025. He’s hitting to an otherworldly 1.138 OPS against righties this year, with 20 of his 24 extra-base hits coming against them.

Gavin Williams isn’t the easiest mark, as the Cleveland Guardians starter has allowed two runs or fewer in each of his last four starts. But there’s hardly anything that counts as a bad matchup right now for Freeman this year, who has posted an average exit velocity of 92.3 MPH even in his age-35 season.

As long as Freeman keeps crushing the ball, I’ll keep finding ways to back him. Tonight, that means picking him to get Over 1.5 total bases at plus money.

Cody Bellinger Over 1.5 hits + runs + RBI (-154 at Caesars)

Cody Bellinger has been on fire in May, hitting .333 with five homers and 15 RBI. Bellinger has hit successfully for the New York Yankees in 16 of his last 18 games, scoring runs in 10 of those outings. The former MVP is slotting in nicely behind Aaron Judge and in front of Paul Goldschmidt, giving him chances to knock in runs or get on base and leave the job for his teammates to finish.

Oddsmakers are predicting a lot of runs for the Yankees tonight against the Los Angeles Angels, who are sending Jack Kochanowicz to the mound. In his second year in the majors, Kochanowicz has a 5.03 ERA and a 1.584 WHIP. The righty has a low strikeout rate (5.9 per nine innings) and has already allowed nine homers in 53 2/3 innings of work this year.

Kochanowicz doesn’t have the stuff to contend with this Yankees lineup. It’s hard to say exactly how Bellinger will contribute, but it’s hard to imagine he won’t fill the box score in one way or another by being in the middle of the action. I’m taking Bellinger to reach the Over on his total of 1.5 hits, runs, and RBI.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
