Our 3 best MLB player props for Friday, September 26
Take a look at our best bets and expert analysis below.
Prop #1: Shane Bieber Under 6.5 strikeouts
The Toronto Blue Jays send Shane Bieber to the hill, and he’s pitched well since making his debut with the ball club. He owns a 3-2 record and a 3.57 ERA in six starts.
However, Bieber isn't collecting the volume of strikeouts we saw from him in years past, with 34 punchouts in 35 innings of work. He’s hit the Under in Ks in five consecutive outings.
The Tampa Bay Rays rank 19th in the majors in most team strikeouts, but Bieber has pitched more to contact in 2025. My MLB picks believe he’ll keep his defense busy in the series opener.

Prop #2: Miles Mikolas Over 2.5 earned runs
The St. Louis Cardinals begin a series with the Chicago Cubs this afternoon, and Miles Mikolas gets the ball. He’s having a forgettable campaign, pitching to an 8-10 record and 4.76 ERA.
Although the righty has actually performed better in September with a 3.00 ERA, I’m predicting him to get lit up by the Cubbies.
Chicago is batting .310 against Mikolas across 200 at-bats. They’re extremely familiar with him, and the Cubs already torched Mikolas for eight earned runs earlier this season, including six home runs.
He’s also been terrible on the road, compiling a 6.33 ERA, compared to a 3.42 ERA at home. It will be another poor outing for Mikolas.

Prop #3: Pete Crow-Armstrong Over 1.5 total bases
We’ll shift over to one of the best hitters in baseball, and a guy who has raked off Mikolas. Pete Crow-Armstrong is 6-for-7 lifetime against the veteran, smacking four home runs.
Crow-Armstrong is only hitting .197 this month, but sometimes a hitter just needs a matchup like this to help him break out. Seeing Mikolas on the mound will instill confidence in PCA, and he does swing it a whole lot better at home, hitting .275 compared to .218 on the road.
Crow-Armstrong will continue his success against Mikolas — even if it’s just one hit that leaves the ballpark.
