The Philadelphia Phillies look to complete a four-game sweep of the Colorado Rockies this afternoon at Coors Field.

For Thursday’s MLB action, our top Phillies vs. Rockies predictions back starter Ranger Suárez to lead the way in what could be another dominant outing for Philadelphia.

Let's dive into the best MLB picks for May 22.

Phillies vs Rockies prediction

My Phillies vs Rockies best bet: Ranger Suarez to record the win (-125 at DraftKings)

The Colorado Rockies have been especially, perhaps historically, bad this season with an 8-41 record.

The Philadelphia Phillies offense has enjoyed the Mile High City with nine, seven, and nine runs for a total of 25 in their three games thus far. Their bats have woken up against the worst pitching staff in baseball.

So it makes sense that the Phillies are three-dollar favorites on the moneyline with the run line set at a rare -2.5. Given that, we’re looking at Philadelphia’s starter to record a win.

Left-hander Ranger Suarez stumbled in his first start of the season on May 4, allowing seven runs in just 3 2/3 innings against the Diamondbacks. But he settled in very nicely with seven innings and the win in each of his last two outings.

While Coors Field has typically favored bats, the Rockies have been outscored 188-103 at home this season while going 5-19.

With the Phillies as over -300 favorites, we're getting a nice price on Suarez to get the win at -125. He should just need to go at least five innings, which he did in 23 of 27 starts last season.

Phillies vs Rockies same-game parlay (SGP)

Phillies moneyline

Ranger Suarez Over 17.5 outs

Over 11

DraftKings doesn't offer the pitcher win market in their SGP construction, so we'll put a little twist on our best bet.

Suarez has gone at least six innings in each of his last two outings and went 6+ in 13 of 27 starts last season — including eight of his 12 wins.

The Phillies bullpen isn’t exactly in the best position right now, so they should look to get as many innings as they can from Suarez.

We're closing it out with the Over 11, a number that has been reached in all three games of the series thus far. That should continue on a sunny afternoon at Coors Field.
