The Philadelphia Phillies avoided the sweep last night. Now they send All-Star Cristopher Sanchez to the hill for Game 4 of the NLDS against the Los Angeles Dodgers. This will be a high-pressure situation for both Sanchez and L.A. starter Tyler Glasnow.
That's just one reason my MLB picks are fading both starters and backing Teoscar Hernandez in different MLB player props markets.
I dive in deeper with my Phillies vs. Dodgers predictions on Thursday, October 9, below.

Phillies vs Dodgers player prop picks
Prop #1: Christopher Sanchez Over 5.5 hits allowed
Cristopher Sanchez pitched a gem in Game 1 against the Los Angeles Dodgers, allowing four hits and two runs with eight punchouts through 5 2/3 innings. But there are a few reasons to fade the Philadelphia Phillies All-Star today.
Game 1 took place in Philly, and the southpaw has been significantly worse on the road. While he pitched to a 1.94 ERA with an OBA of .200 at home during the regular season, those numbers jumped to 3.02 and .251 in away games.
He also looked shaky in two outings against the Dodgers during the regular season, surrendering 13 hits and eight runs through 12 2/3 innings.
The Dodgers were sixth in the majors in batting average (.253) during the regular season, with that number ticking up to .260 at home. They have six batters in their lineup who will have the platoon advantage against Sanchez, while lefties like Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman boast impressive reverse platoon splits.
With the Dodgers batting .278 during the postseason and Sanchez surrendering at least six hits in 11 of 17 starts on the road, take this prop at plus money.
Prop #2: Teoscar Hernandez Over 0.5 RBIs
Teoscar Hernandez finished the regular season with 89 RBI through 134 games. Hernandez will bat at No. 3 or No. 4 in the lineup, which puts him in a great spot to drive in runs behind Ohtani and Mookie Betts.
The three-time Silver Slugger recipient has been on fire in the postseason, slashing .333/.364/.810 with 9 RBI through five games.
Hernandez will have the platoon advantage against Sanchez, and he has a history of mashing against the Phillies' southpaw, going 5-for-15 with two doubles and a pair of homers.
Prop #3: Tyler Glasnow Over 1.5 walks
Tyler Glasnow posted a 3.19 ERA (expected ERA of 3.25) in 18 starts. That said, he has struggled with his control.
He sits in the bottom 10th percentile in walk rate (11.7%) and has the fifth-lowest chase rate among qualified pitchers. Glasnow walked two batters in less than two innings of relief work in Game 1. Across his last 10 starts (and that brief postseason appearance), he has logged 29 walks in 56 innings.
The Phillies have shown more patience at the plate in the postseason, seldom chasing pitches out of the strike zone and posting the second-best walk rate (11.1%) in the majors.
Glasnow should be well rested since he threw 34 pitches in Game 1 and threw just 36 pitches in his previous start on September 27. That should help him pitch deep into this contest, but it only makes it more likely he'll eclipse his walks total.
