My Padres vs Phillies best bet: Nick Pivetta Over 2.5 earned runs (+100 at BET99)
⚾ Pick Analysis
Nick Pivetta has been a nice addition to the San Diego Padres' rotation, going 8-2 in 16 starts with a 3.36 ERA. He’s struck out 101 in 91 innings of work while holding opponents to a mere .210 average.
However, the Canadian right-hander has struggled on the road in 2025, where his ERA has ballooned to 4.50 across seven outings.
He’s given up Over 2.5 earned runs in three of his previous five appearances, and the Philadelphia Phillies' lineup is very familiar with Pivetta, batting .275 across 69 at-bats. Bryce Harper, JT Realmuto, and Nick Castellanos all swing it well against Pivetta.
Philadelphia also has a Top-10 offense, and in Pivetta’s lone start against them in the 2024 season, he surrendered four earned runs in just four innings before exiting.
The Phils will get to Pivetta today.

Xander Bogaerts has been heating up lately for the Padres. He has seven hits across his last three games and has cashed the Over in singles in every contest.
Of Bogaerts’ 75 hits this season, 52 of them have been base knocks. He’s never faced Mick Abel, but Bogaerts is hitting .287 off lefties.
Harper just returned to the Phillies' lineup after nearly a month out due to injury. While he’s only smacked nine home runs this year, it’s common knowledge that Harper has big-time power.
The veteran has raked against Pivetta in the past, going 4-for-13 with two bombs.
He’s gone deep four times at Citizens Bank Park, and Harper is batting over .300 at home. Sure, this is only his second game back, but Harper is going to be feeling confident with Pivetta on the hill.
