The Baltimore Orioles and Philadelphia Phillies will continue a three-game set this evening at Citizens Bank Park.

Dean Kremer has been struggling immensely on the road, and my Orioles vs. Phillies predictions expect Philly to get to him early. Read more in my MLB picks for Tuesday, August 5.

Orioles vs Phillies prediction

My Orioles vs Phillies best bet: Dean Kremer Over 3.5 earned runs (+125 at BET99)

The 2025 campaign hasn’t turned out great for Dean Kremer. He’s 8-7 with a 4.27 ERA in 22 starts, but there’s been a drastic contrast between Kremer pitching at home vs. on the road. At Camden Yards, the righty has dominated, going 5-2 in nine appearances with a 2.89 ERA.

On the road, his ERA sits at 5.37 across 12 starts, with opponents hitting .294. He’s been a completely different pitcher away from home. Kremer has cashed the Over in earned runs allowed in two of his last five outings, but he also gave up three earned runs last time out against the Blue Jays. Before that, the Rockies tagged him for five earned runs.

It’s a small sample size for Kremer against the Philadelphia Phillies, but they’re hitting .217 across 23 at-bats. Philadelphia did just put up 13 runs in the series opener, though, and will be feeling confident after their offense exploded.

Kremer isn’t very consistent, and I could see the Phils doing damage against him.

Orioles vs Phillies same-game parlay (SGP)

Dean Kremer Over 3.5 earned runs

Kyle Schwarber to hit a home run

Emundo Sosa Over 0.5 hits

Kyle Schwarber is one of the hottest hitters in baseball right now. He just smacked home runs No. 39 and No. 40 of the campaign on Monday, overtaking Shohei Ohtani for the NL lead. Schwarber finished the night 3-for-5 with six RBI.

The slugger has now put out eight bombs in his last 11 games alone. He’s on an absolute tear, and Kremer has given up 17 home runs this season. You simply cannot ignore how he’s swinging the bat at the moment.

Aside from Schwarber’s brilliance, Edmundo Sosa also did his part offensively in the series opener. The utilityman was 3-for-4 with a home run of his own. He’s cashed the Over in hits in five of his last seven contests.

After a three-hit day, taking Sosa to collect at least one hit tonight is a no-brainer, especially against Kremer.
