HR picks for July 21

Bryce Harper (+330 at DraftKings)

The Philadelphia Phillies are at home tonight as they host the Boston Red Sox, who send Walker Buehler to the mound. Once one of the best pitchers in the game, Buehler is struggling immensely this season with an ERA over 6.00. He’s allowed 17 home runs in just 16 starts, including four in his last three outings alone.

Harper happens to have a track record of success against Buehler. While it’s a small sample size, the veteran is 2-for-3 lifetime with a home run and three RBI. Harper is also swinging it extremely well lately, collecting five hits over the weekend against the Angels, three of which left the yard.

Harper is up to 13 homers on the season, and he’s hit seven at Citizens Bank Park. Seven of those bombs are off right-handed hurlers like Buehler. No. 14 of the year could be on its way in the series opener.

Aaron Judge (+190 at DraftKings)

Where would the New York Yankees be if it weren’t for Aaron Judge’s brilliance? It’s a valid question. The reigning AL MVP winner is well on his way to winning the award again, hitting .352 with 36 home runs and 82 RBI. Ridiculous numbers considering we’re just beginning the second half of the campaign.

Judge’s power is no joke, as we all know. He just went deep on Sunday against the Braves and will be loving tonight’s matchup. The Bronx Bombers are in Toronto for a crucial three-game set with the Blue Jays, who are three games above them in the AL East. The Jays hand Kevin Gausman the ball.

Well, Judge has been a Gausman killer throughout his career. He’s 16-for-43 lifetime with six long balls. He’s also hitting .455 with two homers against Toronto already this season.

Jose Ramirez (+380 at DraftKings)

For a very small man, Jose Ramirez has serious pop in his bat. He’s slugged 19 home runs this year and also owns a .295 average. The Cleveland Guardians star is 3-for-10 post-All-Star break with a bomb.

The Guards face the Baltimore Orioles this evening, and they will give Tomoyuki Sugano. Although Ramirez is 0-for-3 lifetime against him, Sugano is having serious trouble with the long ball. He’s allowed 19 of them in only 18 starts. The majority of Ramirez’s home runs have come against right-handed pitchers, too.

He has 15 bombs off righties and has left the yard nine times at home this season. I wouldn’t be surprised if the veteran barrels one up against Sugano and puts another baseball in the stands. After all, Sugano is home run prone.

Today’s HR parlay

Bryce Harper to hit a home run

Aaron Judge to hit a home run

Jose Ramirez to hit a home run

Today’s most popular HR bets
