Kyle Tucker has had tons of success against Robbie Ray in his career and I’ll explain why that could continue in MLB player props analysis.
Aaron Judge and Ben Rice will also be included in my home run picks as I double up on New York Yankees bats against Dylan Cease and the San Diego Padres on Wednesday, May 7.

HR picks for May 7
Kyle Tucker (+500 at DraftKings)
I had Kyle Tucker in my picks on Tuesday, but he didn’t go deep. That being said, the slugger was 2-for-4 and he’s up against San Francisco Giants lefty Robbie Ray, a pitcher who has always been prone to the long ball.
In 10 at-bats, Tucker is 4-for-10 with a pair of homers, showing the same-handed matchup hasn't been a deterrent. Ray has already given up five bombs in only seven starts as well.
Tucker is up to nine long balls and 31 RBI and has left the yard twice in his last six games. The Chicago Cubs outfielder is tearing the cover off the baseball in May, batting .348. Considering how he’s swinging it, it’s only a matter of time until Tucker smacks his 10th home run of the season.
There’s also no better time for it because he has dominated Ray. Four of his bombs have come against left-handed pitchers as well.
Aaron Judge (+190 at DraftKings)
I’ve included Aaron Judge in my daily home run picks more than anyone else, but is that really a surprise? He is hitting over .400 with an MLB-best 12 home runs. In fact, Judge leads the majors in numerous offensive categories. He’s been simply impossible to get out, and the reigning AL MVP has already gone deep twice in May.
The New York Yankees face the San Diego Padres right-hander Dylan Cease tonight. Judge has had no shortage of success against him, going 4-for-10 with one homer and four RBI. Seven of his bombs are versus right-handed pitchers, too.
Judge left the ballpark on Tuesday and my MLB picks expect that to happen again here.
Ben Rice (+390 at DraftKings)
We’ll pinpoint another Yankee in today’s picks. Rice has been a pleasant surprise in New York, batting .264 with eight homers, and has been the perfect replacement for Anthony Rizzo at first base.
Rice was 2-for-4 on Tuesday with a pair of doubles. Although he hasn’t gone deep in six games, he’s hitting over .300 against righties with six homers.
Rice already has three doubles in this series versus San Diego. He’ll get under one enough to smack homer No. 9 tonight at Yankee Stadium.
