HR picks for June 3

Shohei Ohtani (+185 at DraftKings)

Shohei Ohtani is well on his way to locking up another NL MVP award. The superstar continues to terrorize opposing pitchers on a nightly basis, hitting .292 with an MLB-best 23 long balls and 39 RBI. Ohtani just smacked 15 home runs in May alone, and he’s gone deep three times in his last four contests.

The 30-year-old will face New York Mets righty Tylor Megill tonight, and while he’s only 1 for 6 lifetime, that lone hit was a homer. 19 of his bombs have come against right-handed hurlers, and Megill has allowed three of his four home runs to right-handed hitters.

Also, Ohtani already has two long balls in only four games against the Mets in 2025. Look for him to leave the ballpark here.

Austin Riley (+360 at DraftKings)

Although Austin Riley has gotten off to a slower start from a power standpoint, he’s one of the best home run hitters in the National League. The slugger had three consecutive 30+ home run seasons between 2021 and 2023. When he connects, the baseball goes a long way.

Riley has 10 bombs so far while batting .275. The third baseman has two long balls in his last four games, and he’ll like tonight’s matchup. Arizona Diamondbacks starter Zac Gallen gets the calls versus Atlanta, and Riley is 6 for 16 against him with a home run.

The infielder is hitting .280 against righties with eight bombs compared to .259 with only two homers against left-handed pitchers. Five of his long balls have come at home as well, and he’s batting over .300 at Truist Park.

Pete Crow-Armstrong (+360 at DraftKings)

Pete Crow-Armstrong is opening eyes across the Majors this year. The Chicago Cubs star is hitting .280 in his second MLB season with 15 home runs in 59 games. He’s in the top 10 in the show in long balls. The youngster is also a menace on the base paths. He’s doing it all for the Cubbies.

While Crow-Armstrong has just one bomb in his last eight appearances, he’s up against Washington Nationals righty Trevor Anderson tonight, who is very prone to the long ball. Anderson has surrendered seven of them in only 11 starts.

He’s given up two bombs across his last three outings, and six of them are against left-handed batters like Crow-Armstrong. The 23-year-old Chicago star is 0 for 2 lifetime against Anderson, but 12 of his homers are against righties. He’s also batting .308 versus right-handers compared to .188 against lefties.
