The value is there on a Dansby Swanson homer tonight in a great matchup vs. the Rockies. Quinn Allen also likes Shohei Ohtani and Bryce Harper to put one in the seats.

HR picks for May 27

Shohei Ohtani 1+ home runs (+190 at DraftKings)

Shohei Ohtani is once again showing why he’s arguably the best player to ever live. The reigning NL MVP is on his way to another award, and he still hasn’t pitched this season.

Ohtani is hitting .295 with an MLB-leading 19 home runs to go along with 33 RBI.

The 30-year-old has gone deep in back-to-back games against the New York Mets and Cleveland Guardians. He’ll face Tanner Bibee tonight, and Ohtani has clubbed 17 of his bombs off right-handed pitchers.

Bibee is very solid, but Ohtani does have a track record against him, going 2-for-6 lifetime with a home run.

A third game in a row with a long ball is very possible for Ohtani as he looks to hit No. 20.

Bryce Harper 1+ home runs (+300 at DraftKings)

Bryce Harper’s power numbers are down a bit this year, smacking just eight so far. But, he’s still contributing to the Philadelphia Phillies’ success, hitting .267.

Harper has a modest three bombs in May, and one in his last five games. Tonight’s matchup, however, will have Harper licking his chops.

The Phils face an NL East rival in the Atlanta Braves, and they will hand the ball to Spencer Strider, who just came back from injury. Harper has raked against the righty, going 6-for-20 lifetime with a pair of home runs. Strider has also allowed two bombs in his only two starts of the year.

Four of Harper’s home runs have come at home, and he’s also hitting over .300 at Citizens Bank Park in 2025.

Dansby Swanson 1+ home runs (+700 at DraftKings)

Dansby Swanson is having a respectable campaign for the Chicago Cubs, batting .251 with 11 homers and 30 RBI. He’s always been a guy with some pop in his bat, finishing with 20+ bombs in three straight seasons between 2021 and 2023.

Swanson has two home runs in his last nine contests, and my MLB picks say there’s reason to believe he could hit No. 12 tonight.

The Cubs host the Colorado Rockies, and they send German Marquez to the bump. He’s having a nightmare season with an ERA over seven, and that inflates to 11.12 on the road.

Swanson has raked against Marquez, going 4-for-7 with a home run in his career. Eight of Swanson’s long balls are against right-handed hurlers, as well.

  1. Aaron Judge, Yankees
  2. Trent Grisham, Yankees
  3. Pete Crow-Armstrong, Cubs
