Josh Inglis' expert pick: Nationals/Marlins Over 8.5
Price: 52¢ (-110) at Polymarket
The Washington Nationals bullpen is expected to be without its closer, while the Miami Marlins’ relief corps is heavily taxed and could be missing as many as five arms. That’s great news for the Over and bad news for Miami starter Sandy Alcantara, who has allowed 14 earned runs over his last two starts.
I still like this Washington offense, and Nationals fans should too. It can be inconsistent at times, but the ceiling is extremely high. At its best, it has ranked among the league’s top slugging offenses over 30-day stretches this season.
With both bullpens overworked, there’s added scoring potential here that doesn’t appear to be fully priced into the market.

Jon Metler's expert pick: Mariners moneyline
Price: 56¢ (-127) at Polymarket
The Seattle Mariners are trading as 56-cent favorites against the New York Mets, but I make them closer to 60-cents, making this a number I’m willing to work with.
Emerson Hancock gets the start for Seattle, and as a pitch-to-contact arm, this is an ideal environment for him. Pitching at home under the marine layer gives Hancock added protection against hard contact and fly balls.
The Mets are expected to load the top of their lineup with left-handed hitters, but Hancock has made significant adjustments to his pitch mix that have changed the way he attacks lefties. As a result, left-handed batters are hitting just .209 with a .623 OPS against him this season.
A big change has been moving away from the changeup, an offering that gave him trouble and led to too many home runs last year. Instead, Hancock has leaned more heavily on his four-seam fastball and back-foot slider, a combination that has fueled his success and sets up well against this New York lineup.
