The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to leave the Twin Cities with a sweep Wednesday against the Twins.
It’s been a rock-solid start for LA, one of only two teams to hit the 10-win plateau early in the season. They’re a sturdy -180 moneyline favorite in the MLB odds.

My analysis
It’s offense all day for the Los Angeles Dodgers, who have piled up 10 runs over two wins against the Minnesota Twins in this series and have scored at least five runs in eight of their 10 wins on the season.
LA leads the bigs in hits, home runs, RBI, and runs, while ranking inside the Top 3 in batting average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage, and OPS.
The task to slow them falls to righty Chris Paddack, who is making his second start of the season. He lasted four innings against the Brewers, scattering six hits and two earned runs, while walking two. His start was Minny’s last win, and the only one in its last seven. While LA is pouring in runs, the Twins are struggling to plate runners, with just 10 across their six losses.
Hitting just .181 on the year, the Twins are dead last in batting average, the only sub-.200-hitting team in MLB, while ranking Bottom 4 in OBP, slugging, and OPS.
They’ve scored just 26 runs on the season, and have an MLB-low 53 hits. While they are the lone team with single-digit games played, every other team has at least 71 hits on the year.
Perhaps that helps LA starter Bobby Miller who’s coming off a brutal start against the Cubs, lasting just 1 2/3 innings, giving up five earned runs and walking two in a 9-7 loss.
The Dodgers have owned the head-to-head, winning nine of the last 10, and were the betting favorite in each one.
Their offense should propel them to a sweep this afternoon.
Dodgers vs Twins same-game parlay
I’m sticking to the top of the LA order to build this same-game parlay. Shohei Ohtani had a double in Tuesday’s 6-3 win, and he’s been racking up the total bases of late. The Japanese star has at least two bases in all but one of eight April games, and totaled eight in the series opener, when he went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles and a home run.
Mookie Betts has had at least a hit in all but three games with five multi-hit affairs, a big reason he’s hitting .380 with a 1.31 OPS.
He’s had one hit in each of the first two games of this series, but an extra hit is worth wagering on. While it’s a small sample, Betts is hitting a whopping .833 against Paddack in six at-bats, with a home run and four RBI.
