The Los Angeles Dodgers have won four straight games by multiple runs.

With the offense heating up and one of their best arms taking the mound, my Dodgers vs. Giants predictions see another multi-run win in the cards.

We’ll break it all down with my MLB picks for Friday, September 12.

Dodgers vs Giants prediction

Dodgers vs Giants best betDodgers -1.5 (+105)

The Los Angeles Dodgers are firing on all cylinders heading. They’ve won four consecutive games, during which time they’ve outscored their opponents 24-5. Each game was decided by at least two runs.

There’s a real chance that trend continues Friday night. The Dodgers have a clear edge on the mound with Yoshinobu Yamamoto taking on Justin Verlander.

Yamamoto owns a sparkling 2.72 ERA on the season and has allowed just four runs over 21.2 innings of work over his last three starts.

Zooming out further, he has held opponents to two or fewer in seven of his last nine games. One of the two exceptions came at Coors Field, the worst possible environment for a pitcher.

He blanked the San Francisco Giants over seven innings the last time he visited San Francisco. While the Giants have hit well this month, he’s certainly capable of limiting them once again.

Verlander has pitched much better of late, but that’s coincided with a severe drop in competition. Each of his starts the past month have come against teams that rank 15th or lower in wOBA in that span, with three sitting 21st or lower.

Even then, he still allowed five runs or more in two of the six starts.

The Dodgers are a big step up in class from anything he’s seen lately. They shouldn’t need to score that much to win decisively with Yamamoto on the mound.

Dodgers vs Giants same-game parlay (SGP)

Mookie Betts is on a heater. He’s recorded multiple bases in eight of the last 10, averaging 3.4 along the way. He has also driven in at least two runs in five straight. With an all-time talent in Shohei Ohtani directly in front of him, he should have ample opportunity to cash in another.

Rafael Devers has piled up 14 hits over the last 10 on home soil and owns a solid .265 average against righties this season. One hit is not much to ask.
