The Arizona Diamondbacks hit the road this evening to face the Cincinnati Reds, with Eduardo Rodriguez looking to get back on track.

My Diamondbacks vs. Reds predictions are targeting E-Rod to take advantage of Cincy's struggles against left-handed pitchers.

Who will win Diamondbacks vs Reds today: Diamondbacks (-106)

The Arizona Diamondbacks will be handing Eduardo Rodriguez the ball tonight, one of their top starters. While his recent numbers haven't been dominant, the matchup sets up well for the veteran left-hander.

E-Rod has a 3.95 FIP on the road this season, and the Cincinnati Reds aren't productive against southpaws — owning a .190 ISO and .230 average.

The Reds own a 94 wRC+ at home in 2026, suggesting they haven't fully taken advantage of one of baseball's most hitter-friendly parks.

On the other side, Nick Lodolo has been in horrible form. The lefty has a 7.54 FIP at home, and he's allowed a 36.6% hard-hit rate over his last two starts to go along with 2.31 home runs per nine innings

I'll play this pick to -130.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Lodolo owns a 6.63 xERA overall this season, and a 5.88 xERA over the last month. He's consistently getting hit around.

Diamondbacks vs Reds Over/Under pick: Over 9.5 (-102)

I do expect Rodriguez to be sharp here, while Lodolo's struggles will continue. That being said, both of these relief corps have been awful, which puts value in the Over.

Arizona's bullpen owns a horrendous 8.35 xERA over their last 17 1/3 innings of work while walking 6.23 hitters per nine innings. They've shown minimal command, which could create scoring opportunities for the Reds when Rodriguez exits. He has rarely pitched beyond the sixth inning this year.

As for the Reds' pen, they sport a 5.26 FIP across the last two weeks, and walks have been an issue as well, with 4.72 freebies per nine innings.

Lodolo's outings typically last four to five innings, and if he does get lit up, the southpaw could be out of there even earlier. That leaves a lot of innings for an inconsistent Reds pen to eat up.

I'll play this pick to -130.
