The Los Angeles Dodgers look to take a commanding 3-0 lead on the Milwaukee Brewers with their series heading to California for a pivotal Game 3 on Thursday.

The Dodgers have gotten some great games from Blake Snell and Yoshinobu Yamamoto in this series, and my Brewers vs. Dodgers predictions are betting on another workhorse performance from Thursday's starter, Tyler Glasnow.

The towering right-hander headlines my favorite Brewers vs Dodgers player props and MLB picks for Game 3 of the NLCS on October 16.

Brewers vs Dodgers player prop picks

Prop #1: Tyler Glasnow Over 16.5 outs

-127 at Caesars

The Los Angeles Dodgers clearly don't trust their shaky bullpen. Blake Snell went eight innings in Game 1, with Yoshinobu Yamamato pitching a complete game on Tuesday. Expect a long leash for Tyler Glasnow in Game 3.

Glasnow pitched to a 3.19 ERA with an OBA of .177 across 18 regular-season starts, and he faces a Milwaukee Brewers squad that is batting just .206 in the playoffs.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has done a good job of keeping Glasnow fresh for the postseason. The towering righty threw just 36 pitches in his final regular-season start on September 27 and pitched fewer than two innings when he came out of the bullpen in Game 1 of the NLDS.

He made his first postseason start in Game 4 of the NLDS and allowed just two hits with eight punchouts in six innings of shutout ball. He's had six days of rest since and should pitch deep against a struggling Brewers lineup that has mustered just five hits this series.

Prop #2: William Contreras Over 0.5 batter walks

+125 at Caesars

Glasnow does a great job of generating strikeouts and limiting hard contact, but he struggles with his control. In his last 12 appearances, he has walked a whopping 32 batters across 62 innings.

Glasnow has one of the lowest chase rates among starting pitchers, and Brewers catcher William Contreras rarely bites on pitches outside the strike zone. The two-time All-Star was 16th in the majors with 84 walks during the regular season.

Contreras sits in the top 10th percentile in walk rate (12.7%) while Glasnow is in the bottom 10th percentile in walk rate allowed (11.7%), with that number surging to 13.1% against right-handed batters.

Prop #3: Mookie Betts Over 0.5 runs

-109 at Caesars

The Brewers have yet to announce a starter for Game 3, but it will likely be Quinn Priester or Jose Quintana. I'm not confident in either pitcher getting the job done on the road against the highest-scoring team in the NL.

It's shocking that L.A. outfielder Mookie Betts has scored just one run in the postseason. After all, Betts is hitting .303 with an on-base percentage of .395 in the playoffs, and he bats second in a stacked lineup.

The seven-time Silver Slugger recipient has led the majors in runs scored three times in his career. He plated 95 runs in 150 games during the regular season, and I expect him to score in Game 3.
