The Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs hit Wrigley Field for the second meeting of their three-game set tonight, and the North Siders have rolling lefty Shota Imanaga set to start.
My Braves vs. Cubs predictions call for Imanaga and fellow countryman Seiya Suzuki to lead the way to a comfortable victory.

Braves vs Cubs prediction
Braves vs Cubs best bet: Cubs -1.5 (+118)
Chicago Cubs lefty Shota Imanaga has settled into a nice groove with a 3.00 ERA, 0.72 WHIP, and 3.62 xFIP across his past six starts, and the Atlanta Braves sport a below-average .305 wOBA against left-handed arms.
The Braves also rank 20th in the metric over the past two weeks, while the Cubs sit 10th.
Chicago sports a 10th-ranked .320 wOBA and fifth-best .177 ISO against southpaws, and Atlanta will have journeyman lefty Joey Wentz toeing the rubber tonight.
There’s nothing scary about Wentz’s career 5.38 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, and 4.73 xFIP, so back the Cubs to pull away tonight.
Braves vs Cubs same-game parlay (SGP)
Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki sports a high-end .364 wOBA and .217 ISO against lefties since the beginning of last season, and he’s positioned in the heart of the Chicago lineup.
Suzuki has also hit the Over in this market in each of his past four games while going 6-for-17 at the dish.
Returning to Wentz, he’s fanned four or more batters in four of his past seven starts with a 20.0 strikeout percentage. While Chicago sports a below-average 21.1% mark, I still expect Wentz to pitch deep enough into tonight’s game to strike out four or more North Siders.
