The Los Angeles Dodgers edged the Toronto Blue Jays in an 18-inning classic last night. Superstar Shohei Ohtani smashed two home runs before getting walked in his final five plate appearances.
With the Jays likely pitching around Ohtani tonight, my Blue Jays vs. Dodgers home run picks are betting on another hard-hitting Dodgers lefty to go deep.

Blue Jays home run pick
Addison Barger (+525 at BetMGM)
When we last saw Shohei Ohtani on the hill, he had one of the greatest games in MLB history, pitching six innings of shutout ball and jacking three homers. That said, if you're looking to bet on a Toronto Blue Jays hitter to go yard against him tonight, Addison Barger seems like a good choice.
Barger has been making great contact in the postseason, slashing .318/.388/.568 with three homers and a pair of doubles.
The 25-year-old broke out this season, ranking in the 90th percentile in hard-hit rate and the 85th percentile in average exit velocity. The third baseman hit 21 dingers during the regular season, with 20 of those coming against right-handers like Ohtani.
Dodgers home run pick
Max Muncy (+400 at BetMGM)
Toronto will start Shane Bieber, who made seven regular-season starts this season after recovering from Tommy John surgery. While the sample size was small, there were some worrying metrics.
Bieber posted a home run percentage of 5% while allowing a hard-hit rate of 48.2% — which would have been in the bottom fifth percentile if he had qualified. He struggled to pitch past the fifth inning, and with the Jays using nine pitchers last night, their bullpen options will be limited.
That makes this a great spot for Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy, who finished with 19 dingers in 100 games during the regular season. Muncy slugged .514 with the platoon advantage while posting a .571 slugging percentage at home.
Bieber relies heavily on his four-seamer against lefties, mixing in his changeup 17% of the time. Muncy crushes both offerings, slugging .667 against fastballs and logging an xSLG of .584 against changeups.
Muncy went 0-7 at the plate last night, but he had jacked a dinger in two of his previous five games, and I like his chances of hitting another long ball tonight.
