The Toronto Blue Jays got a much-needed win last night by outslugging the Cincinnati Reds 12-9. Not surprisingly, it was Bo Bichette and George Springer who powered the offense.
Tonight, Toronto goes for the series win in the rubber match when it hands the ball to Shane Bieber. Bieber has been great since joining the rotation, but my Blue Jays predictions and MLB picks focus on a locked-in Bo for this September 3 affair.
Blue Jays predictions for September 3

Littell u17.5 outs

Today’s Blue Jays best bet: Bo-lieve
Bo Bichette Over 0.5 runs (-105 at BetVictor)
What an incredible run Bo Bichette is on. The Toronto Blue Jays’ star shortstop hit another home run last night, driving in three runs as part of the 12-9 win.
Bichette is now hitting .426 with a 1.098 OPS — which includes nine extra-base hits and 13 RBI — over his last 17 games. This current run Bo is on has him now in the 100th percentile in expected batting average.
Tonight, he’ll dig in against a familiar foe in Zack Littell. The 29-year-old right-hander came to the Cincinnati Reds from the Tampa Bay Rays at the trade deadline. Littell has struggled this season and ranks in the Bottom 25% in both xERA and opponent xBA.
The numbers with Cincinnati have been a little better, but he’s benefited from a pretty soft schedule to this point, and he won’t be happy to see Bichette and the Jays. Bo is 5-for-11 in his career vs. Littell and should be on base a bunch again tonight.
He's scored at least one run in 10 of his last 17 games, so I’m going back to the well and taking the shortstop to score another one at close to even money.
Today’s Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)
The move to acquire Shane Bieber looks really good at this point. Bieber has allowed three earned runs on seven hits while striking out 15 in 11 1/3 innings pitched over his first two starts with the Blue Jays, and I like him to keep dealing here. The Reds rank 19th in wRC+ and have the sixth-highest strikeout rate.
We have also already discussed how inconsistent Littell has been this season, and the Blue Jays have always been a problem for him.
Current Blue Jays hitters combine for a .275 xBA and a .505 xSLG. His outs recorded prop is sitting at 17.5, and I’ll take an Under, something he’s done in three of his last six starts.
