It’s a do-or-die Game 7 with a ticket to the World Series on the line for both the Toronto Blue Jays and the Seattle Mariners.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has risen to the occasion multiple times already this postseason, and I expect him to give the Rogers Centre crowd another show tonight in the most amplified game of his career.

Find out how I’m backing Guerrero Jr. with my free Blue Jays predictions and MLB picks for this October 20 matchup.

Blue Jays predictions for October 20

Today’s Blue Jays best bet: Big game Guerrero!

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 total bases (-105 at BetVictor)

The Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners have treated us to an amazing series so far, and it’ll all come down to tonight’s main event — Game 7.

Toronto has the obvious home-field advantage in this game tonight. They also get an edge with having the hottest hitter in baseball in the middle of the order in Vladimir Guerrero Jr.  He was “born ready for this moment" after all.

The Jays slugger is hitting .462 with a 1.532 OPS, averaging 3.9 total bases per game this postseason.

He’s riding a four-game hitting streak after being held off the scoresheet in Game 1 and 2, but is hitting .600 with three homers and 21 total bases since, including a 3-for-3 effort against George Kirby where he finished a triple shy of the cycle. Vladdy is 5-for-12 in his career against Kirby with three extra base hits and a 1.250 OPS.

The entire Jays lineup was hitting Kirby in his lone appearance in this series. The Mariners righty allowed eight runs in just four innings of work, giving up three homers in the loss. He gives up a lot of contact and gets hit hard, ranking in the 34th percentile in xBA and the 21st percentile in hard hit percentage.

Vladdy pairs contact with power better than almost anybody in baseball. That combination has been lethal this postseason, resulting in a lot of cashed Overs on his total base props. He's done so in four straight games and seven of 10 in the playoffs.

Today’s Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 total bases

George Kirby Over 0.5 walks allowed

Shane Bieber Over 4.5 strikeouts

I'll continue to fade Kirby against this lineup given how rotten his performance was in Game 3. He allowed eight runs on eight hits, and also walked two batters in the loss. The Jays average three walks per game this postseason, so I’ll bet on Toronto working him for at least one walk tonigh.

I’ll keep pounding the pitcher props with my third leg as I take Jays starter Shane Bieber to go Over 4.5 strikeouts. He had eight strikeouts in his previous outing against the Mariners, who have now struck out an MLB-high 120 times this postseason for an average of 10.9 per game.
