Talk about a way to snap a losing streak.

The Toronto Blue Jays hit back-to-back solo bombs in the bottom of the ninth to walk off the Arizona Diamondbacks, but what will Toronto do for an encore?

My Blue Jays predictions bank on the home team to keep lighting up the scoreboard at the Rogers Centre tonight. Here are my MLB picks for June 18 surrounding the Blue Birds.

Blue Jays predictions for June 18

Today’s Blue Jays best bet: Bats stay hot

Blue Jays team total Over 4.5 (+105 at BetVictor)

Things were looking a little dire for the Toronto Blue Jays last night, entering the bottom of the ninth trailing the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-3 before Bo Bichette took D-backs’ closer Shelby Miller deep.

Then Addison Barger came up and ended the game with a deep blast to right field, earning the Jays a 5-4 comeback win.

See what home runs can do for offense?

Toronto will try to carry that momentum into Game 2 and secure another series win. To do that, it'll have to get past Arizona starter Eduardo Rodriguez.

It's been a rocky first half of the season for the veteran southpaw. He enters this game with a 6.27 ERA and missed nearly a month with shoulder inflammation. That said, his two starts since his return from the IL have been solid, and his 3.86 expected ERA suggests he’s been a little unlucky this season.

However, if the Blue Jays are patient and take what Rodriguez gives them, they should score some runs tonight.

The 32-year-old lefty pitches to a lot of contact and ranks in the 42nd percentile in opponent expected batting average. He's also an extreme fly-ball pitcher, which means guys with natural power, like Vladimir Guerrero Jr., can do some real damage.

Additionally, the Blue Jays have handled lefties well as a team this season, ranking third in batting average and seventh in OPS and wRC+.

Also, you saw the state of the D-backs bullpen last night. All the injuries have left them with few options, and Arizona relievers have combined for the fourth-worst ERA in baseball.

Today’s Blue Jays same-game parlay (SGP)

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 0.5 RBI

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 total bases

Eduardo Rodriguez Over 5.5 hits allowed

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is looking locked in again. He absolutely smashed a ball off Brandon Pfaadt into the second deck last night, and when he gets hot, he usually stays hot for a while.

Vladdy now ranks in the 100th percentile in xBA and the 93rd in xSLG while hitting .333 with an .887 OPS and six RBI over his last eight games. Guerrero is crushing lefties, tagging them for a .333 average and a .970 OPS this season.

Since we have to pivot a bit, let’s round it out with a somewhat related Eduardo Rodriguez Over 5.5 hits allowed.
