Tigers at Yankees: NRFI (-148)
We have quite the pitcher's duel tonight as Tarik Skubal faces Cam Schlittler.
Skubal has actually allowed a run in the first inning in back-to-back outings, but he's up against a New York Yankees lineup that hasn't scored in the opening frame in four straight. The Yankees also have a horrendous 34 wRC+ over the last week while hitting just .156.
Schlittler, meanwhile, continues to pitch like a Cy Young odds frontrunner. The righty hasn't allowed a run in the first in 13 consecutive appearances, and he owns a 16-1 NRFI/YRFI record this season.
Schlittler owns a solid 2.92 FIP over the last month as well.
I'll play this pick up to -150.

Cardinals at Braves: NRFI (+101)
The St. Louis Cardinals send Matthew Liberatore to the mound tonight against the Atlanta Braves. While he only has a 10-6 NRFI/YRFI record, the lefty is coming off a scoreless first in his last start, and the Braves haven't come across the plate in the opening frame in six straight.
Atlanta has also posted just 34 wRC+ in its last five games.
As for Martin Perez, he continues to shove. The southpaw sports a 3.30 FIP over his last four outings, and he's come out of the first unscathed in six starts in a row.
The Cardinals have gone scoreless in the first inning in six straight contests, too.
I'll play this pick up to -120.

Angels at Mariners: NRFI (-126)
The Los Angeles Angels send ace Jose Soriano to the mound tonight as they look to silence the Seattle Mariners.
Soriano hasn't been in the best form lately with a 6.16 xERA across his last two starts, but the righty rarely gets into trouble in the first. He's tossed four straight scoreless opening frames.
As for Bryan Woo, he's just lights-out in general. The righty owns a 14-2 NRFI/YRFI record this season, and he's looking to make it 10 straight appearances without giving up a first-inning run. Woo owns a stellar 1.55 FIP over his last two outings.
Seattle hasn't scored in the first in five straight games, while L.A. has been held scoreless in the first in three of their previous four contests.
I'll play this pick up to -140.

What is a NRFI prediction?
NRFI (No Run First Inning) and YRFI (Yes Run First Inning) picks add a thrilling twist to the start of an MLB game. A NRFI pick is a prediction that no runs will be scored in the first inning. You're predicting that the starting pitchers for both teams will get through the first inning without allowing any runs, whether by striking out batters, inducing ground balls, or through solid defensive play.
A YRFI pick is the exact opposite. You're predicting that at least one run will be scored in the first inning. In this case, you’re hoping for an early offensive burst such as a leadoff walk, a timely hit, or even a home run.
NRFI and YRFI picks add excitement to the early part of a game and offer immediate gratification for those looking for a quick resolution.
