The Top 2 finishers from the Preakness Stakes collide again as No. 2 Journalism (4-5, morning-line favorite) meets No. 6 Gosger (9-2), and I think we're in for a similar result in the Grade I Haskell Stakes.
Journalism lost little in defeat in the Belmont Stakes when last seen. Sovereignty is not in this race, and it's only 1 1/8-miles rather than the 1 1/4-miles that's gotten Journalism beat on two occasions now.
The son of Curlin had a rough voyage in the Preakness while Gosger had the garden trip, yet the former was able to win anyway in Pimlico. As long as Umberto Rispoli keeps Journalism in the clear, he should take the Haskell.
Gosger gave away a five-length lead in the stretch in the Preakness, but he shortens up a 1/16th today and sheds seven pounds under Luis Saez.

No. 1 Immersive (8-5, morning-line favorite) gets the nod as she tries to avenge her first career loss to No. 4 Take Charge Milady (9-2) in the Monomoy Girl Stakes.
Immersive's work-tab for her comeback race didn't inspire, but she should be on her toes for the CCA Oaks after drilling a five-furlong bullet at Saratoga. The reigning two-year-old filly champion is a perfect 2-for-2 at Saratoga, including a victory in the Grade I Spinaway Stakes.
Trainer Brad Cox has won this race twice before, and Manny Franco once again has the call.
Take Charge Milady showed some tactical range after laying close and pouncing late for the win in the Monomoy Girl. She had been well behind in her previous three starts, with two off-the-board efforts sandwiching a second in the Grade I Ashland Stakes.
Kendrick Carmouche catch-rides this one, and his reputation as an aggressive rider precedes him, so look for this daughter of Take Charge Indy to be mixing it up early. She should be keen after some sharp works for trainer Ken McPeek in the lead-up to this race.
