TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley hosts the RBC Canadian Open for the first time. It’s a great opportunity for the venue, which now welcomes one of the longest-running non-major tournaments.
I’ve compiled my two best longshot picks for this week’s event. As always, monitor the odds and available pricing, as the market is constantly changing.
Below, I break down the RBC Canadian Open odds and highlight two longshot golf picks for this weekend's action.
RBC Canadian Open sleeper picks

- Castillo to win outright (+9000 at DraftKings)

RBC Canadian Open sleeper predictions
Sleeper pick to win: Rico Hoey
+9000 at DraftKings
TPC Toronto is a long course that rewards distance off the tee and forgives inaccuracy due to its wide fairways. This track favors players who can drive the ball far and follow it up with strong approach play to set up birdie opportunities.
That profile benefits someone like Rico Hoey. He has gained distance on the field off the tee in eight of his past 11 events.
His iron play has also been solid, gaining strokes on approach in seven of his last 10 tracked tournaments (the Puerto Rico Open does not have ShotLink data). With this combination of strong driving and approach play, Hoey has posted four Top 25 finishes during that stretch.
He finished T12 at the Corales Puntacana Championship, which was held at Corales Golf Course, another long track that favors distance off the tee.
Sleeper pick to win: Ricky Castillo
+9000 at DraftKings
Ricky Castillo is another golfer worth targeting at 90-1. At just 24 years old, he’s playing remarkably well in his first full PGA Tour season after earning his card ahead of 2025.
Castillo has made the cut in 11 of his past 14 tournaments, earning four Top 20 finishes in that span. Most recently, he finished T5 at TPC Craig Ranch during THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson.
The only players who finished ahead of Castillo were Scottie Scheffler, Erik van Rooyen, Sam Stevens, and Jordan Spieth. Of that group, only van Rooyen is in the field this week.
Like TPC Toronto, TPC Craig Ranch is a long course that rewards powerful driving. Castillo has gained distance off the tee in every event but one this season. He has also gained strokes on approach in three of his past four tournaments.
Additionally, Castillo excels at saving par and creating birdie opportunities. He currently ranks sixth on tour in bogey avoidance, which is clearly a recipe for success.
