Travelers Championship sleeper predictions
Sleeper pick to win: Ben Griffin
+4500 at BetMGM
Griffin has carded four Top 20s across his past six events while gaining true strokes across the board, and the run also includes a pair of Top 5s. Additionally, his approach play has improved with +0.51 true strokes gained per round across his past three tournaments.
After finishing T14 in the 2025 Travelers while ranking sixth in the approach metric, Griffin is a sneaky target down the board with his game returning to the level that led to three wins last season.
Sleeper pick to win: Corey Connors
+9000 at BetMGM
The Canadian flipped the script in the U.S. Open to finish T23 while ranking sixth in true strokes gained tee-to-green and seventh on approaches, and he’s gained true strokes on approach in all four trips to TPC River Highlands.
Corey Conners profiles as the perfect tee-to-green fit for this track, so if his putter heats up, he’ll be able to contend again this week.
Sleeper pick to win: Alex Smalley
+10000 at BetMGM
With an opportunity to hit the restart button this week following consecutive missed cuts, we’re landing a long number on Alex Smalley at a track that fits his game better than Muirfield Village and Shinnecock Hills did.
Don’t forget, Smalley finished T9 here in 2023 with true strokes gained across the board, and he was on a heater ahead of the highlighted recent setback.
Smalley carded seven consecutive Top 25s while ranking sixth in this field in approach and eighth in putting beginning with the Houston Open through the Charles Schwab, after all.
