Interesting opening night. Biggest surprise for me was Washington’s role players scoring at will. Same old Atlanta at least in game 1 with the veterans but could not string together a couple stops. Minnesota looks good. Dallas should be okay if they can improve on defense. I’m not totally sold on the Sparks yet but good to see Plum getting positive attention.
Tough lines today in my opinion and not sure what to expect.
LV at NYY -4, 169.5 - Normally I like to fade a defending champ on opening day at home but I’m not sure here. LV could play well for three quarters and have one bad quarter and not cover. A possible lean to the under as I think both teams will try on defense but still if Sabrina or Lloyd or Young get home from downtown it’s over. No play for now.
CHi at IND -8, 169.5 - So much hype on Indiana. I was hoping this would hit 10 so I could take the Sky. Three veterans and two second year players for the Sky is an odd mix. Cardoso and Reese will have their hands full defending Indiana’s front line. But Chicago’s backcourt can score. May look for a live play on the Sky if they get down early.
SEA -5 at PHX, 154 - The Mercury are already banged up and no Copper is a loss. Total is falling rapidly. Play 1 here is the over 154. Tibbets will instruct his team to try and play fast. This total is really low. So will try a contrarian play here.

What an abysmal performance for the new look Sky backcourt. Tyler Marsh has his work but out for him to get some efficiency from this offense. Great win for the Fever.
