Seattle is ready to move into 2nd place with a win if the Aces lose tonight. Wings are without Gray and both games she was out were losses to a struggling mercury and a hot lynx team. Her contributions will be missed as a defender, floor spacer and a slasher. Afternoon kids games have favored the home teams this season and I see it happening again.
Conventional wisdom would suggest these wings will play the storm tough once again. Since last season each game has been close. I think the addition of Tina Charles could help get the cover with some much needed bench production. She had some great games vs the wings while on the merc; most recently, she had a 27 and 9 game. She's getting more acclimated into her role, putting up 18 last game. Stewie will eat vs the wings as usual and jewel will knock down her treys. Bird off some needed rest should be at her potential.
Wings defense has been sub par in defensive rating as of late and well...storm has been tops. Even storm's offense has been coming along last 5. Mabrey has been hit or miss for a while now. When the wings finally get Sabally back for a couple games, now Gray is out. This lack of continuity and firepower will hurt them today. I see Arike playing hero ball at some point while the storm put the clamps on D and the bench help push it over for a cover.
