You bring up a few questions that have been sent to me by PM so I just want to get a few things off my chest for anyone who happens to click on this topic.

If you think these Touts (on covers, radio, tv, etc) are actually winning - why do they need your money? Why not just give the picks away for free after they've placed their bets? Out of all the handicappers out there, we have the most reason to charge anyone because it takes us 4-5 hours per day to get the system ready to make it picks. Why don't we you ask??? Because we use Veripicks for our own bets (with a very high winning percentage) and share it with others for free.

Think about it - if these touts really gave out great picks - why can't they wager $1,100 per day on one single game. If they win daily - they make $360k per year (if they win 70% of the time they still make great money). Isn't that enough to live comfortably? Just like every other person who gambles on sports - they pick using emotion, statistics and "knowledge of the game" - don't you think the sportsbooks know the same information AND even more???

As long as we can afford to keep our site at a minimal expense - then our picks will be free. If we get to a point that it's too much work or cutting into our profits then we will begin charging for it. And honestly I don't care if anyone pays a membership fee if we ever have to - because we'll keep making money from playing it's picks either way. Why do I promote the site so much? I'm proud of us coming up with a system that can actually beat the sportsbooks - name ONE other handicapper who can do this for every sport and do it over an extended amount of time that doesn't charge you $100+ for every play????

If you use the system enough you will start to notice games that are VERY good plays - we could go through and identify them for others - but that would bring us (human) into the selection process. If anyone is interested in this feature, let me know. This would just add more time to our process but it is possible.

We got started the weekend right last night going 7-2 (78%) Join us today as there should be 5-6 strong college football games along with the same amount of basketball games. We are anticipating a HUGE day today - stop giving to the sportsbooks and start winning today!! All plays are FREE - you just have to register.

Not a great weekend for Veripicks as we go 10-13 (43%). Our system needs tons of information for playing the games, and now I think we've gathered enough to start relying on our past games to pick future games. What exactly does that mean?

1) Veripicks looks at line movements, market percentages, public perception and a few other factors to come up with a score on the games.
2) It looks at similar scored games in the past it's scored to see what the outcomes of those games were.
3) If both scores are high (example 4333 on the #1 and > 60% on #2) then it will now make that game a play.

This adds an extra layer of security to our picks, so you can at least see how similar games have done in the past. After you login and hit the Home button you will see Pwin: 80% (8-2) for example, under the various plays. This stands for Percentage of Win - so you now have what chance this pick has of winning. Our system is adaptive and will train itself to pick high percentage games with high scores.

Remember, our system is free to use so come create an account and check out the upcoming plays. You will be able to view/use all the other data it gathers including forums picks and percentages on all sides of the games. The new way of scoring will also let you know hours before the game begins which side it should be playing, but remember it could change 10-15 minutes before kickoff so be sure to check back or sign up for text messages.

15-2 (88%) yesterday and I tailed every pick! I think it is safe to assume that your system has figured out basketball.

@Tad - Wow! That's a great profit last night. Congrats!! Can you believe 15-2? Take some of that money home and be sure to stay with the money management, remember this system could give back one night and then win another 4-5 days.

I was getting the text messages and thinking holy shit - that's a ton of games it's picking - since we just updated the pick system yesterday morning I was hoping it wasn't going crazy.

Let's see how tonight goes and continue this winning streak for a few days at least. Great start to the new system though!!

Also, we are looking at incorporating TOUT picks into the system for fading. Yesterday Valpo was a play by about 90% of the "pro handicappers" we looked into. This is another reason for the line moving sometimes and usually isn't the side you want to be on. Since the system cannot understand why this movement occurs, we are looking into ways to get this information. For now, just look around at other websites that offer system plays and notice when all these guys are on the same play, then if Veripicks has it as a play - FADE it or stay away.

Will it always be free for members like me?

That's a great question - since we only have a small amount (75-100)  users who actually use it everyday - as long as it's online it will be free for all our people who have helped us test it out and given feedback (only about 25 or so). It's easy to maintain for a certain few, the problem is when we get 150-200 active nightly users.

So Tad - you and about 25 others are in - as long as we stay online you'll have a free account. Good Luck!

Just FYI - I'm seeing a TON of games coming out tonight - probably around 20. I would not try and bet on EVERY single one of them. Give this system some time to figure out which ones are it's strongest. Just look through the games and if you agree hit them if not lay off. We could go 20-0 tonight or it could be 8-12. BUT I promise there will be plenty more nights just like tonight - so don't bet your bank accounts.

Just a little warning - of course it's your money and are free to wager as you please.

Good Morning everyone! Have to get right to it this AM as I'm limited on time. I have to apologize for all the plays Veripicks had yesterday, we had a problem with how it sorts through the plays that it was choosing. Anyway here were the valid plays from last night:

So 12-4-1 were the actual plays. It auto-corrected early this morning. The code has been updated and this will not happen again. We also removed the ability to auto-correct the plays - so after they have been made they cannot change. It removed both winners and losers from last night which was still a profitable night either way.

All the handicapping services that have been monitoring our plays - send me a PM and I'll send you a log of the transactions it made to validate the plays. Looking forward to a huge night tonight.

I've been keeping track of your plays today... and I've noticed something weird. I just got a text saying "Minn Twolves -2.5" but your watchlist shows that it is leaning towards the opposite "Detroit +2.5" ... is this normal?

Hey Tad very interesting. I just looked at it and it looks like Detroit should be the play if you only look at the watchlist. Let's see what happens with the game and if it covers. This one really confuses me...

I'll dig deeper in the morning because right now my brain is mush. I noticed it tried to play a Moneyline tonight also - and those aren't even in the system to be played - so something definitely is funny.

It's crazy - we go 5-4 (56%) last night and I'm pissed because we didn't have a HUGE night. This system has me spoiled for sure.

Tad: I looked back through the numbers on the Detroit game and I think there must have been something that happened in the last 5 minutes before it made the selection on the game. Either the market % changed, the line moved, or one of the other factors we use changed. Either way - Twolves -2.5 was a WINNER! So hope you played it.

I noticed there were 3-4 plays that it had early and then removed late - like the Hornets -3 and it moved Suns -5 from a BIG play into a regular play. So it's making the right choices on most of the games - even fading itself when it's supposed to.

34-11 (76%) the last 4 days - huge profit for us. Let's continue this through the weekend as we have a HUGE day in College basketball/football & NBA today.

Why is this free?

Mtlguy - Long story short - as long as we can maintain it for very little money then I don't mind keeping it online and free. We have a group of people who invest in the games that we play - and we've make plenty of from the picks. That's the cool thing about Veripicks is we are all in this together. A computer does all the picks so there is NO game of the YEAR, or LOCKS or any of that other TOUT BS.

About 90% of the time our picks are on the side of the sportsbook - which means when we lose - the sportsbooks also lose. When it has HUGE days then the usually the sportsbooks clean up from the public. Check the news articles from Covers and compare when the public wins vs when the sportsbooks win - our system is right in line with both.

Good Luck if you choose to follow the plays - it's been extremely successful for the last 3-4 months. You have to remember to follow strict money management because there will be days it goes 30-40% followed by a run of 5-6 days it goes 60-90%. We hope to continue providing it for free - but we are turning off all new memberships at 7:00 EST tonight.

Tad: You say you closely watch the plays I think I see something that happens in about 90% of the games that veripicks plays.

1. If the team/total it picks does not cover on the first half spread (whatever it is), they almost always cover the 2nd half spread and the game itself.
2. If the team/total covers the first half spread, the veripick team/total is chose will usually lose on the game.

So in other words. if a team/total that Veripicks plays does not cover the 1H spread - then you should take that team/total for the 2H line and hopefully win.

Just something to watch out for - I keep finding myself hoping that the teams we take do not cover the 1H so I'm almost assured they cover the games. really weird.... need someone else to look into this.

Tad: I think we figured out the problem and fixed it with the error in sending the wrong picks. It was sending the pick that was being faded instead of the real one.

Happened today with Arkansas St & Atlanta. I don't think we'll see it again - but just in case be sure to check the website for the actual plays.

Your site is slow or down

It will not pull up for me either

I've been on this since 7:00 - there is a router out on the network we are on and they are working to fix it. This is what happens when I get cheap hosting.

Not sure they will get it up before the NFL games today and/or basketball. I'll post on here ASAP after they get it all fixed. I don't even have access to it to play the games that it's picking.
