Serious discussion about Touts, Covers Experts, an

In my 25 years of being in the industry, along with offshore industry since mid 90's I have came across ZERO , AND I DO MEAN ZERO HANDICAPPING SITES that have the means of providing information that will provide you with an advantage that equates to you making money long term. 

 

There are a few extremely successful handicappers none of which are selling their information.  What you need is a person who is tapped into the pipeline of those successful handicappers and there is where you will find your best information and biggest advantage.

You have scam artists in ALL industries.  I get a kick out of the so called wanna be' that are on this site to deirve the short lived  "Rush" ( no pun intended Rush) from being recognized for capping the right side.  Someone mentioned that Cappers sell their picks because they have no risk, not entirely so.  They risk losing and hence when you lose you lose credibility and if you cannot select the proper investment option you will not succeed.  Its that simple.  A tout is someone that claims they have done something they have NOT done like going 7-1 or 10 -1 or 5-0 and you have no way to verify that.  There are a few select services out there that do a good job and all you Phucksticks just cannot see it.  So keep the banter going while I cap tomorrows winners and see you at the cashiers window.....oh wait, I wont see you, you will be too busy complaining about someone that sold you a bad pick...so have a good day. 

Follow that guy Marc Lawrence everyday for 1 year and I guarantee you will be broke poor and dirty. Good luck selling ass for money.

i think the only reason you would want to be a tout if you really make money long term is

 

A. don't have to deal with making large bets and sending/receiving moeny to books because most of your income is derived from people who pay for your picks, as opposed to making most of your money betting your own picks

 

B.  you have historically done so well betting that no one will take your bets

 

why else would you go throught the trouble and time it takes to market, publish, and deal with customer service related to selling your picks

 

 

can you have the best of both worlds....betting and selling your picks?  I mean if your pick is good enough to bet yourself why wouldn't you try to to sell your prediction as well?  maybe cover your losses if you lose?

 

Not sure if you heard of youcapper.com, but anyone can become a capper without having to tout themself.  I mean, everything is tracked...long term, short term, by sport...ect.  it your gonna make the pick / bet anyways...why not put it there also and if people buy them...just more coin in your pocket...no?

 

oh yeah also...no time or trouble to market, publish and deal with customer service issues....they do it all for you...all you have to do is make picks.  pretty cool.

Excluding sites such as Covers.com and a few other very popular websites, My opinion, every site that charges for picks is a scam in every way shape and form. period.

Anyone who is serious about helping other players show a long term profit does not charge for picks.

It is extremely difficult to show profit playing the books, no matter what these sites tell you.

At traditional -110 pricing betting, with no handicapping involved a player can expect a small loss by seasons end.

If a player is winning 55% or more at -110 traditional betting, you can call yourself lucky as that number is a lot
higher than most gamblers will ever see. If you take a look at all the sports monitoring websites, very very few sites
actually win more than 55% of their bets, yet they are charging good money for their "expert picks". It is a scam !

I own a sports website which is free of charge and we get many emails daily asking to exchange links. Most of these sites
owners own in the range of 5-10 websites !

 

Heres a very simple scam these sites do to get your money :

 

Site 1 example : They pick New York Yankees to beat the Chicago White Sox -110. If they lose they offer you next days picks free.

 

Site 2 example : They pick Chicago White Sox to beat New York Yankess +110. If they lose they offer you next days picks free.

 

Now imagine this sort of scam with having 5-10 websites ! Easy money for these website owners.

All in all, no matter who wins, these websites pocket your money ! If you pay for picks and happen to lose the game you bought, you
just lost more money than you would have had you not paid for picks.

These pay sites pray on the weak. They pray on people who are not confident in their own handicapping skills and feel the need to
pay for opinions. People who support these websites and pay for picks, should in our opinion not be gambling in the first place.

I can name you at least 5 top notch free websites that offer amazing high priced games daily and show a ridiculous profit long term.

 

Our website for instance charges zero monies for our picks, our members picks and opinions, yet our record is by far the best in the business, period. Having won over $150,000 within a year on our website with our picks and our members picks with proof in front of everyone.

Our website has been mentioned on radio shows and mentioned on several high Page Ranked websites. Pick well and theres no need to charge for picks.

 

So why dont we charge money for our picks? because we dont need to. Our income is generated from the picks we select and play, and our goal is
to help the public win money and secure profit long term. People who visit our free site see the amount of winning that occurs
and those people become return visitors and secure themselves a profit long term and even short term gambling on sporting events without having to fork over their hard earned money to websites who charge for "expert" picks.

 

Anyone can charge for picks and select -110 or lower favourites day in and day out and likely show a small profit in the long haul.

The key is to play on games that have significant value such as +220 and higher. But picking these high priced winners is no easy task, yet several free websites do just this ! Very few pay sites select high paying events. When was the last time a pay site sold you a +220 or better pick? Very unlikely.

In our opinion, no one should ever be paying for picks. Find a few great free websites and services and take their free opinion with a grain of salt.

Find hot cappers and tail their picks, when they get cold, find a new hot capper and continue. Or even visit forums such as this one at Covers.com and get a feel for members and their capabilities. Many winners daily here right in front of your eyes, and free !

 

Personally, their is no such thing as an "expert". If all it takes is a hot streak to be considered an "expert", i can name you at least
5 free "expert" sports sites. The only experts in the industry would have to be the odds makers who create the lines and prices for the games.

 

Bottom line, the reason handicappers charge money is for their financial gain and for attention.

I can identify w/ you guys that are complaining b/c we've all been burned in the past or seen these guys lie about their records. That's definitely true w/ Lang & his crew of losers. I can't speak on the Covers Experts guys as much cuz I don't know about them. But the entire industy isn't full of scam artists. That's a pretty unfair generalization.   

Not everyone who sells picks is a scam....

 

My father was part of a 5 perosn team that sold there picks for almost 15 years and totaled a sucessfull winning percentage for all of there documented plays over that length of time....

 

four of the men left the group and only one of them attmepted to continue with the service.... he was unnsucessfull

95% of touts are illegitimate in my opinion.  I learned that valuable lesson when I purchased picks back in my youth and got burned.

 

The typical gambler needs action everyday, and the more National TV games, the more the tout feeds the losing gambler's addiction.  And due to the large volume of games given out to appease their clients, the more the vigorish will make it impossible to show any worthwhile profit to the player.

 

Now I do believe a FEW decent cappers can win if they pick their spots with a minimal number of plays per week, but they are in the business of providing action on a daily basis.  And if they were that good and disciplined in their selections, they would bet themselves.  They would not deal with the headache of providing multiple plays on a daily basis. 

 

If a tout has a rare (2 or 3 in a week eg.) strong play on a selection and does decent when these come up, he is worth following, but I would never pay for that information. 

 

That being said, touts are salesman, and almost all are selling you a pile of manure packaged in gold wrapping. 

If you faded certain cappers everyday for 1 year you would be rich.  Seriously.  I have been saying this for years and doing it for years. 98% of them are bad saleman, crooks, and too lazy to work a 9-5 job. It is all hype! Cappers advertise on Tues that they are releasing a GOY on Sunday but they don't even know the pick until Sunday morning and more than half of them randomly pick a game. The gambler has to be disciplined though. Find 1 bad capper and fade them and only them for a year. If you need help finding a bad capper then I will help you.

And you can never go wrong fading Charliesports or Vegassi or Gameday Network. 1 scammer runs Vegassi and NSA and Gameday and Sportsaction365. Major scam operation!

Retire early apparently did so by fading bad cappers/services which I will not dispute, there are plenty of them out there.  I just have to "weigh" in here as it is an interesting thread.  I am speaking from MY experience and I know that the "Haters" out there will blast me ;  By definition, I guess I am a "Tout";  By profession I work in Investments and I have a website and I post my sports picks;  My clients are not lazy sheep, they are BUSY working professionals who are genrally type A personalities, they love to compete and they do so day in and day out in their jobs.   They love to invest in Sports and do not have the time to research here like many of YOU do, trolling the forums trying to find which capper is hot at any given time.  They make enough in a 10 hour day to lead a great lifestyle and they dont want to spend hours on forums or websites, they want advice, winners now!   This way when they are out to dinner or clubbing or recreating, they are investring.   My clients want trusted guidance and that is where I come in, my packages or services are miniscule in cost compared to their overall investment or per unit investment.   Grading a game from 1 to 5 units and I do not promote GOY or that other crapola, no such thing.  I also wager myself but find that doing it this way, I can wager/invest a solid amount and still get paid to cover expenses and even generate a profit.  Yes, do the math, sell on average 20 daily packages per day at $25.00 each generates $18,250 annually.    84 - 6 month package members at $375.00 over 6 months generates $31,500.00 X 2 = $63,000.00 + the $18,250.00 plus various other weekly and monthly packages gets one to a 6 figure income quite rapidly and this enables the legitimate capper to help his clients while earning a living.   I know this is a difficult concept for Marxist/socialists who feel everything should be free and equal.   So I will continue to Tout away, I know, i am a slithering scum who doesnt deserve to breath air ........But, My cleints dont think so, to all the haters, it wastes so much energy hating, better yet, channel that energy and keep on trolling covers........ and hope for that big Payday.

Why not bet an extra $25 per night or whatever equals your average take instead of selling picks?

 

You quit submitting your picks to the monitor so I don't know why you think you are an "expert."  There is obviously a reason why you stopped being monitored by an independent 3rd party.

 

And don't say you are self monitored because Stu Feiner was and is "self monitored."  That's like trusting a bank CEO.
