I was stationed at Ft. Polk for 3 years but the only time I went down to New Orleans was during Mardi Gras during February and all of that is pretty much a blur.

Those two LSU losses were to divisional teams that both went into triple OT. The biggest games for a team are the divisional games....stats and rankings go out the door. A good example was the Stanford/USC game. Those two unranked teams that beat LSU both went to bowl games also (Arky got spanked and Kentucky beat a multiple suspended team).

I got LSU on this one and GL on your play.

All respect to you my friend.  Be careful on this one. Tressel is one of best coaches in college bal.(if not THE best) There's a different feeling about this game from last year.

OSU hasn't played a real team all year......oh.....yeah, they played a decent Illinois team........how did that work out.......LSU is more healthy than they have been all year!  If you go against them......good luck.......they are the better team on both sides of the ball.......offense.....please.....defense, well you can argue that one.........I'll take speed and the better conferance by far..........Over huge........LSU medium play and a hook for a little!!!  the over is the play ya'll!!!!

A lot of nonsense arguing in here.  We are gamblers right?  Lets talk rationale here....
 
Not too much talk about the O/U here.  Interesting how this line is dropping (down to 47.5).  I see the reason because of these D's, but to that point, you are looking at 14-17 points scored b/c of Special teams and Defensive score here.  The reason I love this Over is the fact that its on a fast track in the Big Easy.  LSU will get at least 30 here.....as they have done in 7 games this year.  OSU will hang tough and get to at least 20...if not more.
 
I really see the Over here as the easiest play on the board.
 
If LSU is SO much faster than OSU like everyone in here believes they are....then LSU could post the total themselves.

I normally don't play one team at half and the other for the game...but it seems like all teams change their game plan against LSU and it takes them a half to adjust to it....
 
I think LSU is the better team and they are practically playing in their own backyard...
 
However....I am not sold on LSU offense, it took some crazy plays late in games to get them where they were even in this position to play for the National Title...against Tennessee it took a defensive TD to get them ahead for the game....they were behind are barely ahead in most of the games they played (and the ones they were ahead they weren't covering the spread).
 
I like OSU's brand of football...they like to smack ya in the teeth and the game depends on whether you take it or get up fighting...I just don't think they have enough fire power to get back in it if LSU gets up by a TD or 2...
 
I hate doing this...but I'm going OSU first half+2, LSU game -3.5

If this was based on talent, I would take LSU big, but Les Miles is a dumbshit coach. I think if this one is close, I think he could cost them the game with a dumb coaching decision.  He has been the luckiest SOB I've ever seen.  I can't believe I might not actually play this one, but this game scares me way to much.  I'll probably wait untill the last minute to take this one if I do . GLTA anyways.

guys...and gals...i'm out for the day.  just wanted to thank everyone on here for the great insight and help that everyone brings here!!!  i've been coming on here for quite some time...along with my amigo bigdaddy...and every year this site keeps getting better!!!  it's been a great college season...crazy...but great and hopefully a very profitable one for all!!!

I will have to go LSU on this one.  OSU just doesn't have what it takes against them.  Not saying they are a bad team.

LSU plays in this game the same way Ohio State plays in it after losing at home to Illinois with "the apple in site".  Every team that had a shot at playing in this game lost a game they shouldn't have with "the apple in site"... LSU, OSU, USC, WVU, KU, Mizz, etc... Tigers and Buckeyes just happen to be the last 2 standing. With all that said... Superdome crowd and team speed give LSU the edge... OSU better not get down 10-0 or 14-0 early or it will snowball quick. Tigers win it 30-16.

I am officially making a pick....OSU!!!! As a diehard fan of the SEC and someone who made a ton on Florida in last years game, I cannot put my money on the luckiest team in the country. LSU IMO is a tad overrated. This game feels like the Miami/OSU championship game where the U was a favorite and OSU hit them in the mouth, shut them down and won. So I'm taking OSU+3.5 and a moderate ML play. I figure I have won a nice chunk of change fading LSU against Auburn, Bama, Ark, and my Wildcats. So I'll do it again.
