Jman- no sir.. Don't like the card don't see any value in any nba plays. Overall a very week card for value in my opinion in NCAA and nba, hence only two plays... Doing this for a living now i have to be selective and thus far with the exception of a few plays I have done a very nice job of that

CG, I just think it's tough for those who currently do this/have done this for a living to wrap their head around the fact you couldn't answer vanzack's question. (the one where he asked what specifically has made you successful and if it's something that's repeatable) Personally, I could answer that question without thinking and I think it would be the same for most pros. Betting completely on feel can get you through a couple months or even a couple years. But using the "feel" argument long term is just so difficult to survive in this business.
The same applies to any career really. You need to be able to know EXACTLY what has previously/what will make you successful moving forward.
Those who have been around covers long enough know we have seen this type of story literally hundreds of times. Los Angeles Clippers +3 (-110) $550/$500. The clippers opened at -2.5 and now are +3.... I think Blake Griffin is a great player but he's not worth 5.5 pts towards a spread IMO. Great value in the home dog tonight. People just assume bc of rest and the fact the Clippers pounded the Spurs in SA that the spurs will roll tonight. Clippers are a deep team though and I think they r tired of there playoff failures and will be more fired up and ready for this game than the Spurs. Clippers want to prove the spurs don't own them anymore and that the blowout win in SA wasent a fluke. Let's go CLIPSHOW I think they will win outright but will take the +3 for insurance

Most can pretty much dismiss the idiots. Everyone knows who they are. If you let them get on your nerves, you're demonstrating qualities (taking things personally, separating emotion from your actions, getting distracted, etc.) that will NOT help you be successful.
Ever realize how people like vanzack and rangers (and there are others) never get too high or too low and don't ever really react emotionally? There is a reason for that.
Absolutely do what you do and how you want to do it. It's your gig. But I think it would be wise to give some serious thought to what van and rangers say. Doesn't mean you need to stop doing what you are doing and go home. But if you're serious about this long term, then looking to improve EVERY day is a must if you ask me. That requires a plan.
