Actually fairly recently he has only been posting bets that he has already won. I'm almost certain he's near broke right now.

Granted I haven't followed the thread as much as I used to, but this doesn't seem to be accurate at all.

dude has been M.I.A for a long,long time and wen he does make the rare youtube appearance he seems to delete it almost immediately...he cud have been hit by a bus 5 days ago and no-one here wud be any the wiser.

If you've been reading carefully you will note that CG still maintains contact with Goose and sends him notice of a play.You will also remember that CG stated that he has been Unlucky with his YouTube plays in that they lose.CG who always bought the 1/2point,always had the fish/veggie platter,wouldn't tell the milf his play until it went final,and only played BB parlays, might be superstitous and figures videos a mope on his karma.He doesn't owe Covers a damn thing.

Like most losing gamblers are, it's clear CG is very superstitious so everything you said here is accurate.
Does he owe covers a damn thing? No, he owes us nothing. But the notion he has kept us updated through thick and thin simply isn't true.

Hey CG -
Glad to hear you are entering the Supercontest. I will be entering this year again - I have been in it the last 2 years (came in 9th 2 years ago, just out win out of the money last year).
We have a weekly thread in the NFL forum for the supercontest and the entrants here at covers. Keep an eye on it. Might even be worth making an alias and posting.
GL this season. BTW - I think you have made the right choice keeping a lower profile here and on youtube. No need for nutjobs on covers (including me) to know anything you don't want them to know.

Why not be a proxy CG?
Have you thought about it?
The average proxy gets 300 bucks per entrant - and since you are out there and have a known reputation on Covers - maybe you should think about doing it? Last season I think there were about a dozen covers guys who did the contest that posted - and I am sure much more that just lurk.
Just a thought to pick up some easy money.

I have nothing against CG but I would never choose him as a proxy. A proxy is supposed to be reliable, in Vegas for the long haul FOR SURE. I would also prefer a proxy who is not into coke and person and partying all night...especially with the early kick off times in Vegas.
I would be livid if my proxy missed my picks for any reason so I would prefer someone who has been doing it for years with a bigger customer base who actually has something to lose if it was not run 100% Too many good proxies already willing to take my money and give me a great service than to risk it with CG.

Hey CG - saw your video...
A proxy is just a representative that can put the picks in IN PERSON at the Westgate each week. When you are a contestant, you register in person at the Westgate along with your proxy.
So for instance - when I register - I have to be physically in Vegas during the sign up period and show up at the Westgate with my proxy. The Westgate registers my proxy at the same time they register me - and he is the only official representative for me to put in picks. He cannot collect any money - only I can do that.
The proxy has to go to the Westgate each week. I heard that this year they plan on having machines where you will swipe a card that is given to the player at time of registration - and you put the picks in. You cant do this from your home - you have to go in person.
The lines come out on Wednesday at 2pm local time, and all picks have to be in by noon on Saturday. Just to give you my experience with my proxy - I get an email at about 2:01pm on Wed - and I have until about 5pm on Friday to give him my picks. He has never missed a pick, never missed an email - he confirms my email - and has never made a mistake. The guy is as reliable as they come - and that is what someone will look for in a proxy (like some posters have already posted above).
My proxy has over 100 entrants (and growing).
So it is a season long commitment to be there physically in Vegas, never miss a week - and be reliable. But you can see where if you are able to build a large client base - you can really make some good coin - and it really doesn't require that much work.

And to comment on the contest overall....
The winner last year was an anomaly. I don't anticipate that kind of record anytime soon again.
But - remember something.... The lines come out on Wednesday. So they can be somewhat stale by Saturday morning. Even if there is a major injury question (like Tom Brady might be hurt but not sure) and there is no public line because the game is circled - they put a line out on Wednesday. This leads to slightly inflated winning percentages - but it is the same for everyone in the contest.
If I recall correctly - I went 52-30-3 (or something close to that) 2 years ago when I came in 9th. That is about 63.5%. That should give you an idea of what you would need to place in the money. BTW - they did increase the number of pay positions this year to the top 50.

If you live in Vegas and are in the Super Contest, being a proxy is a no-brainer if you have the time. I mean, you are going to have to go there to put your own picks anyway, and if you proxy for five others at $300 each you are free-rolling the contest essentially. I would just be sure to be very organized about it and set up a good system of communication with your clients.

Told one of my guys since I've been proxying for 15+ years, I've seen it before, people miss early bird by a day or two and because of circumstances miss out on prize.
Guy from goes 14-0-1 and signed up 2 days after early bird, I must have told him 4-5 times to try to sign up in time, well it cost him 15k .... Ive got the other thread going if someone needs proxy info, no backend % and only $250 up front ...GL on the games fellas

Yeah, I'd have to agree.
Given the last we heard he had only $1,800 left and the last two videos mention nothing of current bankroll, I'd have to say, the past 2/3 months he's done little to nothing in the way of updates.

Yeah, safe to say we won't see any ticket postings til college football. Then all of a sudden they will appear with never a mention of where the bankroll came from. He's not going to admit he tapped the 401k.
