Bk I am surprised u haven't heard the organizations theme song yet.
I love this song
but oh yea im prejudice remember?
It's horrible.
And not to get into a whole racial discussion again, you can certainly be a racist (or at minimum do/say racist/prejudice things) and still like music by different races, or befriend people of different races. That is complete apples and oranges pal.
So saying something like "I like rap music" or "I have a black friend" or "I wank to Beyonce all the time" does not disqualify you from being a racist, or someone with prejudice views.

Some of you guys are acting surprised that CG took 3 dogs for a K each today. I fully expected this irrational approach after the thunder loss last night.
Have we not learned in the first 400 pages of this thread that this is how CG rolls? When he's winning, he lowers his wager amounts because he likes to play it safe and pretend he has a plan. But when he loses a few, he raises em up and risks half his bankroll.
Also, for what it's worth, the phrase "Dog Days of Summer" has absolutely no relevance to gambling

Released 3 bases bombs at around 10:00 am pacific standard time.. 3 LIVE DOGS.. laid juiced and lost with Miami last night and didn't like that.. gotta take dogs
Baltimore Orioles (+111) $1000/$1110
Birds are going for the sweep.. Rays will have no1 in attendance again and have a horrid lineup. my three bets today and riding winning streaks..
Toronto BLOW JAYS (+118) $1000/$1180
The yanks lineup is a disgrace.. what a horrible team they should be this year.. Dickey should have his knuckler working well today and the Blow Jay bats are very dangerous
San Diego Padres (+121) $1000/$1210
Big pitching advantage to the Priests here in my opinion. McCarthy has been shitt his whole career... I feel he got lucky with the yanks towards the end of last season... he was horrid during spring training and don't expect him to just turn it on all of a sudden. The PRIESTS have a new lineup and are excited to try and have a big year.. Cashner is a stud also.. big pitching edge to the Priests here
getting all three at nice prices also why I locked in early. smart to bet dogs early in the season.. there is really no reason why these three shouldn't be favored so u can obviously see the value
WRONG. I got Pads last night at +141, You could have gotten the Jays at +123 last night but don't let the truth stop you from telling a good story

You need to keep money on hand and not in the bank if you want to stop costing yourself money and value. I bet the Pads last night at +141, you will be betting them at around +117, you missed all the value and $240 in profit if you win the bet. I wouldn't bet them at +117 but that is just me. I realize someone like yourself doesn't pay attention to value, best lines. At +117 you have to win that game around 47% of the time to make money, at +141 I have to win that game around 42% of the time. Might not sound like much to you but that is the difference in betting for value and getting an edge. f I know you, you are the guy that says "lines don't matter as long as my team wins"
CG , read this and then read it again and again after that.

I said dog days of august, not dog days of summer. 2 entirely different quotes.
by mid august, early sept playoffs are pretty much decided and thats were you get a lot of uninterested favorites getting beat by the doggies. Hence the term dog days of august.

am not pretending anything, nor did i make it up. That term has been used in baseball gambling since i started betting in 1979.
I would love to hear your rationale for the expression for "it is raining cats and dogs" Did it come from that day all the Siamese Cats and Poodles fell from the earth?
Here is the real origin of the saying dumbasss!
The
"dog days" of summer
officially came to an end this week, but few people know what the
expression
really means. The phrase actually has a celestial origin.
Some
will say that summer's
"dog days" signify hot sultry days "not fit for a dog," while others
suggest
it?s the weather in which dogs go mad.
But
the "dog days" are actually
defined as the period from July 3 through Aug. 11 when the Dog
Star, Sirius,
rises in conjunction (or nearly so) with the sun.

Dog Days of Summer is a term commonly used during baseball's summer/hot months, but it has NOTHING to do with UNDERDOGS in gambling. Maybe you should look it up.
Dog Days of August seems to be some derivation that you have made up, or heard, that is not common.
Not to mention, that playoff spots are RARELY decided in August (if ever), even before this stupid "add-on" wild card team in each league. I'd be VERY curious to hear of a team that clinched a playoff birth in August.
I'm not debating whether or not you can find good value on dogs later in the season, but you are just mis-using the quotes, I found it funny. BOL.............

really enjoying yourself. At the very least, you can say you had fun while it
lasted. Good luck tonight my man

chaloots- I see what ur saying in ur last post.. but there are also a ton of break in's out here so I don't like having 5K on me all the time etc, in case of one of the many invasions they have here.
.. would love to see someone break into my apartment here with me home... wouldn't be too wise lets just put it like that.
My money's on you CG. I think you're a favorite up to about 7 guys breaking in. Even money at around 8 or 9. Double digits and I'd have to make you a dog. That is unless your shirt is tucked into your slacks and one of them makes fun of you, then all bets are off.

My God am not using the term dog days of summer. Jesus Christ, some people will just argue about anything. I said dog days of august, meaning that by that time so many teams are out of the playoff race they dont give 100 percent in their games. That is the time of the year when you will catch teams who are out of the playoff race, with a big name pitcher on the mound playing a weak team, but that big favorite isnt that interested in the game, thus you can hit some really nice dogs mid august, into sept.
If some of you would stop trying to twist things into other meanings, you might actually understand what i said. But hey good luck with your plays

I don't think DTV has a stranglehold on MLB packages, like they do with NFL. I know I had the MLB Extra Innings 4-5 years ago with Comcast/Xfinity. Unless that changed of course.
I love having it free this week though. Was nice listening to Vin Scully the other night.

Dude, take off your helmet and breathe. There is no real saying "Dog Days of August", unless it's just a derivation of "Dog Days of Summer" or unless you just made it up.
I like to bet NFL, especially in the Dog Days of December, when teams are out of the playoffs and don't care.

83.8% on the "Blow" Jays tonight right on Covers front page . I know many here couldn't give a crap about that but damn, when it gets that high, it gives me great pause...

Big overreaction to the bad Yankee start on opening dy. Pineda has been a stud all spring and last year. He is their true #1 starter. Jays don't hit him well at all. I am on Yanks

Not really, because dog days of summer mean more about the long hot days of summer. where as the dog days of august is just about catching doggies late in the year. But then again, you could look at it like somebody derived it from that phrase. Maybe the name should be "Underdog days of august", then it wont be confused with dog days of summer.
well anyways use it as a tool and come this august, you could land some nice doggies into your bank account

really take a fucckkkkkkkking a hike. I could care less what you think. Because the great gambler from illinois hasnt heard the term, it must not be real.
either way use my advice about catching underdogs in august and you could put some cash in your pockets. watch for those big uninterested favorites in august this year, then maybe after you cash a few, you also will be saying dog days of august
let me know if there is anything else you want to argue about.
and by the way, every book that i worked for in my younger days, would all throw out that term dog days of august, meaning they would clean up, because majority of bettors are favorite bettors.
