I've been telling him to play the 8k bomb. I sincerely want him to win. I'm only suggesting to bet 8 and then bet 15 if he wins because I think he might as well go that route if he's going to have bad money management. So far he's done nothing to suggest he's going to turn it around. This way if he goes 2-0 he's back to even. Then it's up to him to start over. He may blow it all again. But this is his shot. I agree getting a job and holding on to the 10k is the best play, but I don't think he can do that right now. He's mentally given up to a degree. The confidence that a 2-0 quadruple-up would give him would put him back in the game. I'd hope he'd be smart enough to learn his lesson. All-in-all it's his journey and it's his lesson to learn. And he will learn it one way or another. Either way I'm pulling for him.

Watch out for Oklahoma. Remember what I said about having an 'angle' to cap a game, outside of records/rankings/streaks/spreads/public support which is the standard capping quintet?
Oklahoma appears to be strongly riding this racist frat fiasco into the ground by playing with pride on the court and bringing respectability and positive press back to the University, while their fraternities bring them down.
Most people think this kind of thing is complete and utter bullsh** but I've been capping my entire life and these psychological motivators (i.e. That Okies are now playing with very intense school pride) are very, very powerful, especially among the younger generation of which college students are.
You will be fading such an angle to take MSU and Izzo for....what angle? None other than you like MSU and they've paid you in the past. That's not much to go with.
Be very very careful with this game CG.

OU 46th offensive efficiency, 6th defensive efficiency, 20th in nation at not allowing FT attempts, 73.8% (#37) free throw shooting
MSU 15th offensive efficiecny, 46th defensive efficiency, 205th in nation at not allowing FT attempts, 63% (#339) FT shooting
MSU has the edge on the boards but cant hit FTs. So in a game that is a coinflip and might be decided by FTs you are chosing to back a team that shoot FT awful vs a team that shoots them

Because he feels he's 'due' to win a flip (of which he's lost more than several), which is the good 'ol roulette 'black is due/red is due' bankroll blasting theory.
Roulette makes billions off such thinking and NOTHING will come to benefit some unknown bettor in Vegas just because he believes things should break his way.
This game can again be decided by a missed FT here or there and you can be in the wrong side of it, regardless if you were on the wrong side a half dozen times before. You need an ANGLE CG to bolster your side and why you want to put 4 freakin grand on a certain team.

To sober up if on a bad run and the 'due' thought is getting hold, one needs to picture the millions of millions of sports bettors, then realise that there are thousands of those guys with twice the length of your bad streak in this moment betting the opposite side of you. So much for 'due'. Someone is always 'due' and those someones are equally spread on each side of the line. It's all random noise, just like the teams' streaks we discussed earlier.
