Disagree on the NIT. Down to eight teams from thirty two. All of the eight remaining could have thrown in the towel by now. I feel they have made it this far that all of them want to win this tournament. Also winning this tournament looks good from a recruitment point of view. What looks better, winning this or losing in the first round of of the big dance.

The entire city is drunk and in all the years I've been to Vegas I've never seen a single cop pulling someone over outside the strip.
They are more worried about policing the strip and all the money on the strip than outside of it where CG drives (not that it's smart to do what he is doing...it's incredibly stupid).

I think Vandy's only care regarding 'the big dance' was whether or not they got TruTV or not. But I agree in general, tough to gauge motivation at this point in the year for some of these tournaments. Perhaps in the NIT, after the 2nd round you can assume teams will give their full effort, and try to earn some respect, along with a trip to NYC, but who even knows then. Vandy and Stanford both looked bad the few times I saw them play. But hey, who knows, could still be some value there if you are looking close enough.

I am on SA and Tor both -3.5. I think both plays are easy winners. Dal used to give SA a tough time Dal is really struggling adapting to Rondo and his constant need for the ball. Plus SA is back to being SA. SA wins by 8 or more. Tor will roll Det with Lowry back and Monroe still out for Det. These are "square" plays but so was Houston last night and that was taking candy from a baby. I hope CG wins tonight but those are two plays trying to outhink the room again and we all know CG ain't a rocket scientist. Vandy prob gets blown out actually. That might be over by halftime.
