95% of people have to learn from experience.  It's very difficult for most to learn from other's mistakes and avoid those same mistakes.  It is for this same reason that history, politics and almost every other human endeavor runs in cycles.  

You would think that with the advent of better ways of recording and preserving history that those mistakes would not continue to be made.  The fact that it does not make a difference proves my original point.

This is also why we are just about due for another huge war.  The greatest generation that defeated the Nazi alliance in WWII is dying off.

There is no way in hell his room isn't the exact same way as he left it. He's said repeatedly how much his parents love him but now it's his time and he's 'paid his dues', whatever that means.  He can lose this money, head home and find another job. Are there Jewish people in Jersey? Yes, like anywhere else.

But not heavily Orthodox person, that is, you don't even know they are Jewish and most rarely mention it or care to. It may come up and may not but mostly it doesn't.

If anything NY is where the Jewish presence is the strongest in the entire country where all the traditional religious garb is highly visable as are the places of worship.

But no one in NY cares about that either because it is so incredibly diverse, it all blends with the multiculturalism.

Having lived in NJ almost all my life, there are plenty of fully orthodox areas in Jersey. They may not be as big as some of the areas in NY, but they're there.
