You shouldn't include the moneyline bets in his percentage, that just blurs the numbers since the odds aren't -110 (You could but then you would have to calculate a new break even percentage based on the odds he's been playing to see how he's doing, it won't be 52% anymore). Two of them were pretty close to evens but the knicks bet was at +1000, a bet that the odds implies only hits around 1/10 times (but in reality is closer to 1/20 due to extreme long shots being the most -EV bets you can find if just picking at random).

So he has picked basketball games at almost breakeven, isnt that about what was expected.. he would be just slightly behind if he were flat betting 500 per game, which was probably to be expected from what we have learned from this thread but he is his own worst enemy at times, which again is what was expected.. so basically there have been no surprises in this thread..
its going to be very hard for him to make it now, not that he would listen anyway but there may still be a chance to regroup and go back to the 500 flat bets.. if nothing else, it will extend his stay somewhat longer..

And if you lose 10 k tomorrow, you have to go home already. At least with my strategy, you will last a while, and you will be making $400 just about every day. That's approximately $2500 a week. Dude, you won't lose 5 straight. I mean eventually you will, maybe 3 or 4 months down the line. But try it for a month. It's fun too. Because everyday you will be making money. No negative days for the most part. Martingale works as a short term fix most of the time.
If you don't like this idea, go with Scals idea. Just do a big bet. One bet you have a 50-50 shot. Lose 5 straight in the next month, I say odds are more in your favor. Good luck.
Remember Martingale is not good to do forever, because big losing streaks are inevitable. But go one month without a 5 game losing streak, and its 10 k. Everyday you make money. The bleeding stops.

No, he's not leaving at this point when there's money yet to be bet.
So I think he should bet it all in one shot and hope to win and regroup or lose it all and leave.

It's no man's land, but if he loses he's done. Then it will take 15 years at a 8-5 job and betting 20'bucks a game to get back to 13k.
Even if you don't spend 10 hours capping a game, you have a 50/50 shot blindly picking one. That's far better than having his bankroll bled away.
At this point his luck is so bad, I might actually suggest he NOT cap the game and just pick a random team and roll with it. And when he did cap a bomb bet (Kings), that didn't work out too well. But of course the Kings can pay you. Just look at last night. You just have to be patient and know when to strike.

Now you have one shot to get 2/3 of the way back to the where you were to get several more months our there and stretch it to football season (which is allegedly some kind of bankroll savior and then all that green will roll into his apartment like the books are bringing it to him in wheelbarrows ...I got news for ya CG, football is just as brutal as basketball when it comes to betting).

Count the Knicks "ya never know bet" as the worst he's made on the entire trip and NO odds could have appropriately compensated him (the only reason it came close was because Hayward was a late scratch but he didn't even know that).
