Just to let ya know,
I didn't take pleasure in the Spurs loss or this Eastern Washington loss.
Yes, I will rag on you for the games you take and the extent of your capping, but these latest losses (Spurs/Eastern Wash/Nets) are really REALLY hard to take.
I can guarantee that if you still have the money, you'll get a lot of this back.

That's what drives you. That's what makes you want to get back up and try again tomorrow. It doesn't matter how many times you get knocked down. What matters is how many times you are willing to pick yourself back up. That's life fellas. That's all it is.

You are right in many regards. But if you don't learn from losing, or ask yourself why you are losing, and be introspective about it, then nothing will ever be gained from it, and the pattern will just repeat itself over and over. Losing is actually one of the best tools bettors have to get better.

These $2000 plays are more than 10% of his LIFE SAVINGS. Those are "taking shots." The kings 5k bet was worse, but make no mistake. Betting more than 10% of every penny to your name is taking a shot. And that's apparently the norm these days.

Goose has given CG some awful money management/betting size advice in this thread. Earlier he was telling him he had to bet X amount in order for CG to make X amount a month and was saying it wasn't a big deal. Even when someone pointed out his bankroll he said he has to do it to survive while completely ignoring the variance and exponentially increasing his risk to ruin.
CG should have never been betting more than $200/game based on his bankroll from the beginning. Every month he should have readjusted his bet size to 1% of his current bankroll. His bankroll never justified his bet sizes and it was only a matter or time before he went broke or was on his way to going broke.
Dropping bombs and increasing his bet size are amateur hour. If you hit cool but its still the wrong play.
CG should have gotten a part time job as a bartender, host at a casino, club promoter, or something in the service industry (thats what vegas is a service industry and CG imo would have done well in that field and probably enjoyed it somewhat while possible getting in contact with some big time people) as he built his gambling bankroll to the point where he could bet the amounts to cover his monthly expenses.
I dont think CGs current bankroll makes it to June 1st and then who knows what path he takes to stay in vegas. The aftermath will be quite the show.

No no. That's me. I know what it feels like to take the Spurs loss (not for that much money but bad enough) on missed FT's and then to lose $2200 on a showboat dunk?
That is just excruciating especially given the games were only about a week apart.
Felt bad for him. He looked like he didn't sleep a wink and looks like he's gonna be doing harder stuff than coke if losses like that keep rolling in.
