Not sure what you consider a no-no with the IRS.

The IRS expects you to pay taxes on your income, regardless of where you earn it.  It makes no difference to the IRS. 

The no no with the IRS is hiding income.  And if that includes a foreign residence - it is still hiding income.  If you don't hide income, and declare your earnings - what could possibly be a no-no??

He is going to win more relative to what he risked, but he's not going to have more money in his pocket.  But obviously, there is a huge difference, based on what vig you pay, if you don't win 'em all!!

sorry CG, your math is flawed bigtime.  Just because you are hitting near 60 percent on 370 plays, that does not mean you will hit the same percentage on the next 370 plays.  That is pure dreaming

I should have known an epic thread like this would eventually merge with the idiotic "only losers pay the vig" crap you see around here.

If you think "only losers pay the vig" you should stop betting - you just have no understanding of what you are doing.  Winners pay the vig.

The big no no was the gentleman telling me bluntly it was illegal. I will now have to look into this Van as it seems like things have changed.

No idea which "part", I am  not an expert on the subject that's why I'm going to be looking into this. My accountant, is who I  listen to when it comes to tax time. Not disagreeing on anything,  I will have to look into this.
