The answer is simple global warming, and we continue to consume and want more and more. Our poor Native Americans lived a more conducive way of life.

We'll have to agree to disagree about global warming. As a biologist I've learned everything goes in cycles. The earth will cool again. We've seen it time and time again over the previous centuries.

Yes, things do go in cycles. Cutting down trees, laying more concrete, digging for more oil, throwing endless wastes in the ground sea, space wherever will alter the cycle as the population grows it will only get worse.
