 The same can be said about Snigur's opponents as well, although Seidel is ranked a bit higher at just outside the top 100 but she is in an absolutely awful run of form.

As a whole Tagger has amassed a more impressive tally of wins, especially when you consider that she beat the best player in the tournament. Barb may be 30 but beating her in a semifinal in her home country is always going to be a tall order. I will concede that Barb did look fatigued at times late in that match but that doesn't take away from the impressiveness of the win for me because the thing is Tagger was the better player from the moment they stepped on court, long before the fatigue set in.

Snigur's win over Valentova was absolutely impressive as well but I wouldn't rank it higher. Snigur definitely has game though.

First tour-level final for both players so obviously nerves could be a factor. Tagger has struggled to close out sets numerous times this year, as was the case set 1 yesterday, but she rebounded nicely showing a lot of poise at the back end of 2 and 3. Snigur can get a little dicey when things aren't going her way which can cause her to spiral a bit but we haven't really seen that this week.
