Niemeier even though an underdog vs Chwalinska in 1st round, she dominated the match.

Kostyuk was favored over Hibino in 1st round, but the match was quite even, until the 3rd set. It appeared Hibino had a foot ailment and succumbed to pressure.

It is my opinion, Kostyuk faced the better competition in round 1, but Niemeier won more convincing.
