3*Paszek -142 (WTA)
A match up that absolutely no one was expecting and should rest on Paszek's racket. Pervak has made the most of a very fortunate draw but this should be the end of the road for her. She has no weapons to speak of and happened to catch Petkovic on an absolutely terrible day and a bad surface for the German. She abused Petkovic's backhand side and simply waited for an error in a horrible display.
Paszek has a mediocre serve but makes up for it with her groundstrokes, especially an impressive backhand that will serve her well in this matchup with Pervak being a lefty. 
A great win against Schiavone will be a big confidence builder for the underranked Paszek and should see her dispatch a weaker opponent here and move on to the quarterfinals.

1* Pironkova +236 (WTA)
I'll gladly take a shot with the cinderella story from last year and also the one who obliterated Venus on the court in the quarterfinals. Pironkova leads the h2h 2-1, something not many players can boast versus a player of Venus' caliber and has won their last two match ups. She catches her on the comeback from another lengthy lay off and not exactly in convincing form, playing a bunch of tight matches and falling to Hantuchova last week in Eastbourne. Perfect opportunity for Pironkova to capitalize on yet again.

Venus post match from Eastbourne

I'm determined to win every match I play, so regardless of Wimbledon or Eastbourne, I'm determined to win that match. I don't just come out and say, Gosh, you know, looks like she's playing well. Maybe, I don't know, hang it up today.
That's not how it goes. I come out, come out to win, bring my best game and be extremely competitive and most of the time it works out.

venus regain all the public back in short time
but we should not forget she beat some average players
pironkova playing her beat tennis in wimbledon since last year
not lot of young players had beaten venus twice in grand slam events
this will be her third time.
the price +245 is pretty nice for a abosolutely live underdog.
some played mj sanchez at that price, that was foolish , mj has no game to beat venus, only because venus struggled vs kimiko
but its all about match ups in tennis,
pironkova have all the material to beat venus again here in wimbledon. WIN OR LOSE, i will be on pironkova.

Taking a huge chance with Paszek... really hate her game on this surface... How she escaped that Schiavone match I will never know... I will be on Pironkova game line... GL

great hit on Paszek

I had Pervak +3, +2.5... 5 breaks at 4-3, couldnt get one... then dumps her serve have two game points...  3u swing for me...

Hopefully Pironkova finishes this off for a positive day for you....

I feel fortunate with Nadal's win? still not sure what to make of it as both players had injury scares. At least it gives me a win on Tsonga out lasting Del Potro.
