Sinner tends to be far less sharp in events where Alcalaz has already been eliminated, as he knows he just needs to grind out enough energy per match left in the tournament to win another title.
Thus, conserving energy type efforts for scoreboards like 62, 62 or similar straight set romps are less likely for Sinner in match ups. Yesterday's 2nd set effort vs Norrie is a perfect example of the type of letdown spots Sinner is experiencing more and more of lately in these 2 out of 3 set matches.
Taking the dog + games makes more sense here, especially given Jodar's form and crowd support today.
