It's was a long time I two tanks that was so obvious than Bergs today and Brouwer yesterday both losing 2-0. Prices 6/1.
Masur have had a good run 25-2 but have only played very low ranked players. Bergs was the best player he faced this year, and in that match Bergs had more double faults then he had all tournament combined.
People say it's a conspiracy theory that people tank when they lose...they need to understand that the majority of tennis players see this as a well played job, very few cares about titles at empty arenas especially men and especially on the challenger tour.
Bergs got around $3000 to reach the semi and would got $6000 to reach the final and $1000 if he won everything. Today any player can open an account at a crypto betting site without KYC (no ID required) and can bet anonymous in the locker room before the game and would never get caught. That's why tennis is so hard to bet on compared to other team sports.
Virtanen ended Molleker who beat Brouwer 2-0 in just 48min...tomorrow he will defend this title and points in similar fashion... odds are not out yet but don't get fooled by Masur record and win over the number 1 seed Bergs.
