Ostapenko has one playstyle - if that doesn’t work - her entire gameplan crumbles - It is always hard to argue with people that don’t state the odds price they have been able to get - since that is the only thing that defines if you are winning or losing long term - it would be equivalent to argue if a guy made a good deal on his TV purchase without knowing the price he had paid

Ostapenko is famous for yelling at her opponents, umpires, coaches, the crowd, and people watching at home. She does this regardless of their skin color, even sometimes when she wins the match. While I'm not ruling out the possibility that she is racist, as it isn't that uncommon among Eastern Europeans (but to be fair they just don't like other humans in general) I wouldn't use this case versus Townsend in her "racist" trial. If anything, I think she would have gone more berserk if she had faced a white opponent.

Valid. I just think the celebration at the end set her off and every player pretty much does that.

For a white tennis player to tell a black tennis player that they have no class and no education solely because of a borderline celebration sounds a bit racist tho I must say.
”no education” ??? Lol you have to be one ignorant bitch to say that. Doubt she has ever said that to another white player. You may say she has but I doubt there is any evidence of it other than this time.

She is a sore loser that is for sure - but I don’t think I see the clear as day racism in this - sometimes you guys also forget how it might be not being native English speaker (if you can speak another language you might be able to relate a little) - she highlighted some unwritten rules she didn’t “feel” Townsend was following (we can then agree or disagree with that) - but I could see a world where I would say you lack education rather than etiquette in that situation esp. If I also was mad
- also because the “education” diss doesn’t make sense if that was what she meant - a lot of tennis players have been athletes following their dreams since age 5-6 and therefore a lot of them hasn’t gotten an education
