I took Matteo too.  He’d played incredible recently.  Couldn’t find his footing today though.  Unforced errors galore.  Trainer checked out his ankle.  I’m not sure he’ll ever be a guy who can last deep through the rigors of 3-4 matches in a row.  He’s had a lot of injuries in his career.

I knew Matteo had no chance today. He's a hard court specialist while Mus is a clay court specialist that has incredible defense. This is the perfect counter attack for Matteo's serve. It played out exactly how i thought it would. Sweet music when that happens.

Yeah, definitely was the right call.  Musetti blitzed him from the beginning and didn’t let up once.  Incredible effort.  Tennis has a lot more parody in it right now.  With Sinner out, Novak on decline and Alcaraz also playing weird tennis, there’s a lot of openings for guys like Musetti now to win one of these 1000s.
