Regardless of the inury, tell me how this is Nadal's top of his game. He was taken 5 from Petzschner and Haase for God's sake. I supposed that when he was steamrolling opponents in 2006 and 2007, he wasn't playing as well as he is playing now
Anyway, even here you just can't avoid provocation. It is just inside your ego. What is the necessity of saying to me "He is backing his picks up with stats and good luck to the lad." Couldn't you just write your stuff and my stuff without once more having a small go at my style. You just can't make a point without being a douche.
Are u kidding me!

It shouldn't have been cut out because it has to do with all the other misleading statements in your first post. Not the one stated in this thread but the one in the other thread.
"Tsonga is not much on grass." False
"Now you want to back a guy that let's be honest choked against Roddick last year at the same stage." False
"That got humilatated the last time he played Nadal on centre court" Misleading
"Only Novak can stop Rafa now.." Funny
I think in my opinion Novak is the only one left in the draw that can beat Nadal. Just my opinion. He is a grand slam champion, a naturally gifted player who on his day can beat anyone. Unlike Murray he has won a slam. It's my opinion. I am entilted to it right? or does that just make me a douchebag
I ask for a tennis debate at the start of the thread. You just can't resist letting it go can you....For crying out loud

No, I am not. You seriously believe Nadal is at the top of his game now?

I was NOT having a go at your style. Lots of cappers use stats to back their picks....
As for Nadal I think the way Hasse and the German guy played (can't spell his name) I think they would have given anyone problems. Gone are the days where people stroll trough Grand Slams and win them easy. There are alot of good players now and I think you underestimate the level of play of Hasse and the German. Bar Murray everyone else has struggled at some stage.
Nadal has lost once since April. That's pretty good form if you ask me

But if Novak is Nadal's bitch in Slams, considering he lost every single set to him apart from one (11-1), why does the mental side of things come into play with Murray (who beat Nadal in their last 2 Best of 5 matches) and not with Djokovic? Djokovic holds a worst record of Tsonga on grass who 'is not much' so how can he stop him?
Berdych never won a slam, how the hell did he beat Federer yesterday? Unreal, right? You don't think players evolve? Even for Federer there was a first time, wasn't it?
How is this not a tennis debate? All I am trying to do is prove your reasoning is wrong, even in the case Nadal wins in straight sets.

And yet you had to throw the good luck to the lad line as if I have to depend on luck to win my plays.
Sure I am underestimating Haase and Petzscher while you are being very much fair towards Murray... I apologize.

Dude your stats point out that my opinion on Novak is probably wrong. Very hard to argue with the point you have just made. I am going on a hunch there but NOT a big one..I certainly would not try fight you too hard on this point. The facts say I am wrong here..I have been wrong before..I will happily concede defeat on my Novak argument. There was little thought out into it. You came back with the facts. Good facts at that. Not much I can say in return.
As for Berdych I wasn't surprised. Federer is 28, won everything in the game and has 2 kids. Very hard to keep performing year after year when you have literally done it all and you have huge off court distractions. Berdych young up and coming player against a guy clearly not in good form (look at Federer's results this year). Always a chance for a shock.
I agree players evolve and I think Murray wins a Slam one day but I believe in my heart and soul it will NEVER be Wimbledon for the reasons I have outlined above..

And also, related to underestimating, Tsonga is not much on Grass and the first two sets he played vs Murray would have created no trouble to Nadal... right?
You say things that just amaze me. It is obvious you dislike Murray and all your opinions are biased because you seem to weight things completely differently once your side of the wager is involved.

I think Tsonga would have troubled Rafa for the first 2 sets yesterday. No doubt. Tsonga is talented but his record at Wimbledon is:
2007, 4th round lost to Gasquet 6–4, 6–3, 6–4
2008, Injured
2009, Lost to Ivor Karlovic 6–7[5-7], 7–6[7-5], 5–7, 6–7[5-7] in the 3rd round.
2010, Lost to Murray.
Sorry but that is not a great grass court record. The kid is talented and for 2 sets yesterday he played great. Murray looked in big trouble at 5-4. Whether Rafa would have been in the same trouble, who knows.
I am not basing my pick on talent. Andy is a good player. I am basing my pick on the fact he has not yet proven himself as a champion

btw I don't dislike Murray. I enjoy watching him play. I think he is too talented not to win a slam but his best chances are Australia and especially the US where the conditions suit his game more. I will be playing Murray for the US open for +400. With Del Petro in trouble, Federer out of sorts and Murray's liking for the venue and the courts, I think he represents good value..

Yes, sure this justifies a line off by 300 points. Nadal should be -450 tomorrow, like you said in another post.
Gasquet was a Top 10 player at that time like I mentioned already and in case you didn't know there also are other tournaments on Grass apart from Wimbledon? He holds a career 36-9 Grass record, that is a GREAT record. Period. Davydenko is not much on grass, Del Potro is not much on grass (yet), Cilic is not much on grass, Almagro is not much on grass, Simon is not much on grass, Monfils is not much on grass. Tsonga is a good grass player and his record speaks for himself. So leave it now before keep defending this ignorant statement, it will only make you look worst.
I am underestimating Haase and Petzschner and you are being fair towards Murray and Tsonga, that's the bottom line I assume.

I believe when you factor everything in that Nadal should be -450 tomorrow. This is my opinion. The guy has never done it when its truly mattered and he is playing against a guy that seems to nearly always do it when it matters. I am playing huge on the mental aspect here and I admit this. I believe Andy Murray right now in this exact spot is up against it. I do not believe his game is suited to grass and I have always felt this. I don't think he is comfortable with the expectations that are on him.
Your entitled to your opinion the Tsonga is a good grass court player. Maybe good is the word but currently not great. Again this is my opinion. He has never made a grass court final. If he does then I might change my mind but I do not believe Tsonga is a contender to ever win Wimbledon..

Another big reason I am down on Murray. Boris Becker wrote this in his preview column for Sports Illustrated I think:
"It is showing on the mental side. He is clearly frustrated.
He has an opportunity to regain his confidence this fortnight. A draw was never important for me – I studied my first round opponent, and which half I was in, but that was it – but Andy has a decent route through to the semis. The two favourites are Nadal and Federer, but tennis has been crazy over the last couple of weeks. Federer lost, Nadal too. Nobody is impossible to beat. Whoever gets the momentum, whoever gets into top gear as early as possible, can go a long way.
Murray still has as good a chance of winning Wimbledon this year as any other player in the top eight.
However, he must get himself straight mentally first. He has the best job in the world. He is a young tennis player, pretty much injury-free, so there isn't much room for complaint. There is pressure, but everybody has pressure. There are high expectations, but everybody has them. When I see Murray next week I want to see positive body language, I want to see excitement. I want to see him enjoying it"
When things go against Murray his body language is all wrong. I still can't believe no one has pointed this out to him or made him work on it. When Federer and Nadal are in trouble you wouold never know it from the looks on their face. Watch Murray's reactions when things go against him in the second set against Tsonga. Looking up at the box, complaining about the wind, shrugging the shoulders, shaking the head. Opponents pick up on this.
Becker describes how Murray needs to get mentally write. I am playing HUGE on the fact I do not believe he is...
Boris Becker thinks the mental side is crucial but seemingly Fried shrimp doesnt. Think I will go with a grand slam champ on this..

sorry Mack, you just got abused by TC throughout your entire thread.
i tried to tell you not to mess with him and that he is the best tennis capper on the site. you just proved my point even more. i hope for your sake that other people don't read the entire thread like i just did.

You don't have a future as an oddsmaker, one thing is for sure here. Of course you are entitled to your opinions, who am I to say you aren't. I think I can also write why your opinion is wrong though, especially if I can back up the argument with numbers. Go check all the records of the Top players I mentioned in my previous post on grass and tell me who has something even close to Tsonga's record. You are entitled to your opinion but numbers speak louder than my opinion, your opinion and everyone's honestly. I care about numbers, not your opinion honestly unless you are someone I respect and you will only gain that once you stop being a douche (once more can you explain the meaning of post 16 and 17 here. Only a douche does this to someone who was simply cheering for his girl without being an asshole).
Hell, you touted Djokovic as only threat for Rafa here despite Murray has beaten Nadal at a slam an Djokovic has lost every single match in straight sets to him so really your opinion means ZERO to me.
Now I am tired and I promised a friend I will go with him for a beer so good night to you and most likely to this post. I can't win a fight with numbers against an opinion, so I will just quit now once and for all.
You won't hear from me if Murray wins because I am not good at self praise, field where you are the master. I almost want Nadal to win so you can scream how good you are to the entire Covers board and how nobody pops winners at your rate, so maybe you will feel better about yourself.

Dude your entitled to your opinion, but besides Friedshrimp's moronic posts, this has been a good back and forth tennis discussion. Your a big fan of Tennis capper I get that. Good luck to you. I have made my points, Tenniscappers his. We may not agree on much or even like other a whole lot, but there is plenty there for backers of both sides to ponder..
One of us will be very happy tomorrow, the other one sad. That's sports gambling

I almost want Nadal to win so you can scream how good you are to the entire Covers board and how nobody pops winners at your rate, so maybe you will feel better about yourself.
this about sums it up...well said TC...

You want to act like a douche that's your business. If my Nadal play comes through I deserve credit. I won't shout from the rooftops because I won't need to. I will only post a money icon if Rafa wins it all on my pre Wimbledon thread.
I posted the moose icon because the dude was celebrating after one set which I thought was silly! His recommendation was the back the dog because she won 6-2 6-0 on a Russian hardcourt. Sorry but that is bad capping and I only pointed that out. I have made bad plays before, I have no problem people telling how it is when I am wrong. It was only a Moose icon!
If my opinion means zero to you that's fine. I am not your biggest fan either, believe me. All I want to do is come here and post alot of winners. If I keep doing that then people won't mind me being here will they?
I have my points about Nadal and Murray.. I stand by those points and stand by the fact that half my roll is on Nadal one way or another tomorrow. If I am wrong I'm sure the haters will hate. I'm I am right they will still think your the greatest thing since sliced bread.
The -450 is what I believe the line should be, I realise oddmakers have probably set the line right. I am playing on the fact when the heat gets turned on. Andy will crumble. We shall see tomorrow..
